Looking forward to the future I figure June of 2027 possibly but more like November we will see reality and a Harvester model will most likely at delivery be 65,000 dollars and fully optimized 74 k I do not predict to many 55,000 dollar scouts and yes to me Battery technology will be big. Hyundai brings solid state batteries to market in 2027 that could be a game changer but right now can't wait to see the offerings and cost associated with them but my assumptions are above

I know I've mentioned this before,,,,
Wife said "Guys like charging their EV's. To girls it's a time consuming chore like washing waist length hair"
We just finished a long road trip and neither of us minded the charging stops. They’re pretty short though when charging an 800 volt platform. Thirty minutes was the longest we ever waited and most often was 15 minutes.

My gf and I both talked about this when it comes to charging and if there is a charger in a shopping plaza we would just go shopping or eat at a local restaurant. Now if it comes to a point where there isn’t really anything around we would just buy food eat it in the car and relax. I don’t see anything wrong with it.

Wife plugs-in, walks the dog, watches Tic Toc, plenty to do.
She's always been a health food fanatic so eats her bag of hamster feed washed down with Fiji water.

Early on the routes we usually roll on we only found 50KW chargers on the road. I'm just happy to find a charger that works.
Then 150's took the place of the 50's, then the 350's took the place of the 150's.

The 150's more often than not delivered 170 KW+. To me that's more than adequate. It's super.

On the road we always charge to 100%.
People do roll up and ask if we are charging to 100%. Probably because the station at one time did limit charges to 80%, or they may be under the impression ya never charge to 100% and if so, we'll be taking much longer in that space because most EV's slow down that last 20% charge.

One time rolling thru Baker Ca the EA chargers were 150's.
We came back thru 4 days later they were all replaced with 350KW.

Station was limiting charges to 80% on solar / Powerwall for over a year. EA and TESLA couldn't get the local power company to connect goes the tale.

Dunno what it is now since the expansion.

Just 9.5 minutes into that vid and decided to switch order to EV only. Fifteen (15) gallon tank for engine tells me it’s going to use a lot of the generator. LFP battery…nope for me. I also have a Tesla home charger so I’m more than happy to get the 350-mile range, 0-60 in under 3.5 seconds v. the 150-mile, gas dependent 4.5 second version that tows 5,000 less pounds.
I recall an exchange of messages with Scout about changing my order after I initially placed for the Harvester. The person said you can change it anytime up to the configuration without losing place in line, and that’s what I’ll be doing.

We won't know until the true offerings Scout marketing has their hands full keeping everyone interested for next two years. There be another White Lotus series before you see your Scouts

I’m very disappointed with the towing capacity for the Terra Harvester. What’s the point of a full size truck that can only tow 5000lbs? Going to keep my reservation for now but will be looking at the RamCharger if nothing changes by production.
I hear you - I really like the locomotive-style engineering on the Ramcharger and wish the Scout was a little closer to this - but Stellantis? I'm not sure I could go there - will they be around for the long-term? Didn't Dodge have a tom of dealership issues? etc.

Will Stellantis be around, who knows, but I believe there's enough brand equity/ loyalty for both Dodge/Ram trucks and also Jeep that those brands aren't disappearing anytime soon. If Stellantis sells them off, someone will buy them.
It's honestly a bigger risk long term betting on Scout. There's no guarantee they'll even launch the vehicle, let alone exist 5 or even 10 years down the road.
Yes the situation is a bit different compared to Rivian, Lucid, Fisker and other pure startup EV companies. But there's still the risk of VW pulling the plug if the vehicles don't sell.

I’m an environmentalist and car enthusiast, completely aligned with RJ Scaringe, so I really want to completely eliminate emissions. I also love off-roading and know it’s possible with EVs (just watch Rivian owner or TFL videos). If the Traveler delivers 350 miles of range, it’ll be exactly what I’m looking for, with its perfect styling and off-road prowess. To put it more succinctly, Scott’s interview on Leno’s Garage just reaffirmed how much I want the Traveler, so no, I’m holding strong on my EV reservation and can’t wait for it to come out!
Perfectly stated! Couldn't agree more. My wife and I are renting an EV6 as our "first" electric while our Subaru is in the shop (a deer hit the side of it, caused $10K of damage). It was actually the only rental that came in at USAA's stupid $30/day coverage. It was a little adjustment for my wife learning how EV's work, but I'm actually kind of shocked how quickly she took to it. The most surprising thing was when she came home one day and said "I love Level 3 regen!" I've been using the i-PEDAL mode and barely use the brake.

We are loving our pure electric experiment and filling the car from our solar using a Level 2 portable cord I picked up (I have a 6-20 240V outlet in the garage). My wife actually had to plan a Costco trip that *wasn't* centered around filling up the car.

We took one long trip with it and I visited a DC Electrify America charger in the recent cold (about 20 degrees) and got ~150kWh speed by preconditioning the battery on the way, so that went surprisingly well also.

I think with this rental, we've now satisfied ourselves that any potential fears we had about going pure EV were unjustified. I'm keeping my BEV reservation. It's actually going to be a letdown once the Subaru comes back.

Why cancel? It's only $100, is fully refundable so there is zero risk at this point. You can always change your reservation and I would bet that when it comes time to order they will likely let you change it then.
The only issue comes down to demand forecasting. They've stated that most reservations are for the harvester versions so if they plan for that production mix but then people end up ordering differently, it's going to cause issues. Probably mostly in delayed delivery.
It will be interesting to see what amount they want for the order deposit and how far out they are going to want orders finalized.

The Scout Terra truck, which includes the EREV model, offers a towing capacity of over 10,000 pounds, making it suitable for heavy-duty tasks in areas like Wyoming . This capability is complemented by its nearly 2,000 pounds of payload, allowing for substantial load carrying
This is not what Scott said in the Leno video.

I do understand the J Leno interview has everyone buzzing but we don't want to put out any misleading information that hasn't been appropriately released yet. As of now the exact figure for the EREV remains unspecified. My apologies for any confusion, Doug.
