After seen Jay Leno interview yesterday and hearing about some of the new specs (Towing capability) got me thinking. I've got a Terra REEV on order, but now I'm wondering if I should just go full BEV.

Basically, anyone else watching that and thinking about switching their order? What's making you lean one way or the other? Towing? Range? Share your thoughts.

I’m very disappointed in the reduced towing capacity and the reduced ev mileage estimate on the erev version.
I understand. Are you thinking about changing your reservation?

What new info was there? As far as I can tell all of that info was already known. I am still in for the harvester. The 150 miles of Eclectic range should be enough for most of my driving, but having the back up plan makes so much sense..... Added Edit... I don't plan on Towing anything.

I reserved a Terra Harvester but recently traded my gas F150 in for a Lightning standard range. As I'm adapting to EV life, I'm open to changing my reservation. Still leaning EREV, but more on the fence after Jay's interview.

That was exactly my thinking as well. That Jay Leno interview provided some perspective and info I didn't previously know. I reserved the Terra extended range but after watching that I changed my reservation to be the Terra full BEV. I did not want to be limited to 5k lbs for towing and performance even if the range is further. Also, the performance, towing and advertised range make the Terra BEV a better option for me. If the towing would have not been affected so much I may have stuck with the hybrid but for now I've moved to the BEV. I realize that my towing distance will be greatly affected with the BEV but that is something I will work around with my other truck if my towing distance needs to be extended. The plus side is that the BEV will have less maintenance to worry about without the 4 cyl engine to maintain. It is a tough decision either way and I really wanted to like the extended range. There is still time for the production specs to potentially change my mind back I guess so keeping an open mind.

I already have the BEV reserved but I feel bad for those that want the EREV for long distance driving with heavier loads.

The EREV LFP battery must weigh a lot more than the NMC type that will be in the BEV models. If that is the case, maybe it would be a good option to get a smaller NMC battery in the EREV models. That should increase the 500 mile average range of the EREV also.

Not sure at this point. I had planned on using the Traveler Harvester to tow my boat. Usually not very far. The 7,000 lb initial tow weight was perfect. The new 5,000 weight limit is inadequate.

The original info was 350 battery with harvester motor adding 150 additional miles. Now it is actually the opposite.

Right now, I am not sure what to do.

I think the same way. I also changed my reservation to BEV.

I may change or cancel for a RAM Charger.

The Scout Terra truck, which includes the EREV model, offers a towing capacity of over 10,000 pounds, making it suitable for heavy-duty tasks in areas like Wyoming . This capability is complemented by its nearly 2,000 pounds of payload, allowing for substantial load carrying

What about the Traveler EREV?

I have a Traveler EV reservation and plan to sit tight until I can actually drive/ride in a Harvester (either). Interested in how the gas engine changes ride/noise/vibration/
harshness of the vehicle. Also how/when engine kicks in for charging on the move. Can live with EV range of 275 mi (time to look for juice about then). I see Ram just announced 690 mi for Ram Charger (likely bigger battery/pony motor for gen) BUT bigger/heavier truck:

We will all have to make our final decision at some point but now I’d keep my place in line (refundable).

So, does that mean that the 5,000LB comment was a mistake?
