I know this is not the best thread for this, but I feel like we’re in limbo for the next 18 months or so. I’m excited, but what content other than speculation will keep us hooked or tuned in on this forum?
I can’t find how to edit that part. I can edit my avatar, and can see “Traveler Harvester” below it however nothing gets me to editing that. Have you done it?
I found the email with Scout when I inquired about changing my reservation, which was answered, and was provided this link:

Just 9.5 minutes into that vid and decided to switch order to EV only. Fifteen (15) gallon tank for engine tells me it’s going to use a lot of the generator. LFP battery…nope for me. I also have a Tesla home charger so I’m more than happy to get the 350-mile range, 0-60 in under 3.5 seconds v...
Then your Scout order is good for you and you will not be underwhelmed. By the way, Rivian has a tease “An image takes shape Feb. 19.” And buzz is it could be their Bronco Raptor competitor. They already secured the “R1X” moniker in 2021 and it could be their 1200 horsepower off road beast. So...
Respectively, you’re wrong and I assume your 4-second car is not an EV. I have a 3.5 second SUV and pin it many times and rarely use the brakes and rely on heavy regen but more importantly, know when you can and when to do it. It’s not a pissing contest, it’s what you get used to and anything...
Well hopefully they have these variants produced and (insert favorite social media car reviewer) are able to drive, test, and let us know what we’re ordering before we commit to picking our colors. I’m going to hit snooze and catch a few more years of sleep and wake up when this is sorted out.
I use the quick acceleration often in my Tesla Model Y Performance merging, lane changing and also because I can and enjoy it. When you’re used to it and get into a 4.5 second you notice. We have a 455 hp, 4.5 second XC60 Recharge and it feels sluggish. You acclimate to its capability so 3x...
Well shoot! While 0-60 times are often dismissed as not important, it is a measuring stick to comparing vehicles. Scout said sub 3 second, right? Now it’s 3.5 and a second more in Harvester? Larger Rivian R1 and smaller R2 are better and already out or coming next year so even more disappointing...
I was basing it more on price points. R2 is smaller than Scout, but may have some similarity in range and power. R1 is three row and larger, I assume, also has pricing above $100K for top trims. Personally, I’m looking at top trims and rarely do people buy bare bones.
You’re right and like other electronics, we’ll always be chasing technology. Wish solid state or something amazing like what BYD has up their sleeves was out there now and able to be incorporated into the final build. But I rarely go 150 miles or more in my general use with my current EV so the...
This may not be the right thread to share my feels about the Scout, but I am as excited as I am weary about what it will offer/live up to. A lot will and is happening before Scout even rolls off the line. Understandably they need to settle on final design and drive in order to set up production...
I live in Olympia, WA and sent the following to my senator:
Opposition to SB 5377 – Protecting Consumer Choice in Auto Sales and Service
Dear Senator Bateman,
I am writing to express my strong opposition to SB 5377, which would prohibit auto manufacturers from selling and servicing vehicles...
I see the poll is about time and not miles. An hour for me may be less than 35 miles passing through Tacoma to get to Seattle (for example). I submitted my vote for an hour based on my area.
