Not any change. The tariff stuff going on, while chaotic is still completely undecided and from what I have been reading about is more about getting countries to the table vs actually having a tariff.
With the low refundable reservation cost there is no reason to cancel as I honestly think...
The real issue with bio fuels is infrastructure. There are many that can't travel through current petroleum pipelines, making distribution too much of a challenge to offset widespread gains at this time.
My wife has a Tesla EV and I don't want all my mobility under 1 fuel type I like to diversify. When the power went out everyone without gas was screwed for 2+ days. Our water heater was fine (checked pilot) and could cook on stovetop as normal as well as gas BBQ in backyard. People with EV's...
There will be some slight maintenance but they could make it based on 'running hours' or some other factor that would spread out the intervals but ensure proper functionality.
As for the pollution thoughts with an ICE, in California (where I am) everything ICE is so restrictive they are...
Why cancel? It's only $100, is fully refundable so there is zero risk at this point. You can always change your reservation and I would bet that when it comes time to order they will likely let you change it then.
Would be great if Harvester vehicles could be used as a generator for home backup. I would think a 4cylinder engine could produce enough power for some basic backup duties ;) This would save me from having to buy, permit and install one.
The drop in towing capacity with Harvester is not shocking, maybe production numbers will be different but just look at the towing range of EV's, spoiler it's bad.
Good video and conversation about the Scout with Jay. Yeah the truck was loud (tranny whine) and you could hear rattles etc., but that is normal for pre-production mules and did not shock me at all. They mention it during the first few minutes of the drive and Jay reiterates it a few times...
I agree. I went to a local Ford dealership and they had a 2 door, manual transmission, will optioned but not top trim with a $40k markup! I looked at the guy and said "are you serious?", he smirked and said it's what the boss wanted. I turned and just said, "you know Ford's aren't rare vehicles"...
I really love the new Bronco - but was underwhelmed by the engine offerings and the price at the upper trim levels. My first car was a '91 Explorer (love it) and grew up driving Ford's (mustangs etc.) but with the issues on launch of the Bronco and seeing some of the mark ups I refused to buy one.
If they use a good, reliable one then just make it standard. I remember some air suspensions having issues with the bags getting holes and causing costly repairs. I know some that removed it for a standard suspension due to this.
Cybertrucks are literal garbage looking vehicles.
Rivian's are nice, well made inside and out but I can't get over the front headlights looking like 2 Dyson fans.
Here in California the rebates don't matter because of qualification criteria. As for used Raptors, unless you are looking at 4+ years old or high mileage you are in the same price range. Looking at Autotempest a 2023 Raptor with avg miles (20k'ish) is $75k+, some approaching $80k and that's...
The 60k starting is for a base model and I think Scout could get very close to that, but anyone thinking a loaded edition with all the top trim and options is going to be $60k is just dreaming.
