Wait now theres a but if confusion lol, in the press release it said Scouts will come equipped with equipment for satellite from factory. So is there a connectivity subscription of some sort, or is it that connectivity is an equipment package that we have to purchase Along with a subscription?
It says "pre-wired". It doesn't say it includes an antenna. I guess we'll find out next week.

I imagine this will be treated exactly like the cellular connection in most modern vehicles. You have all the required hardware, but you have to pay the subscription. Industry standard is about $15 per month.

That’s what I imagine it to be. Is that it has the technology in it already but to use it you have to pay.

Pretty cool how they are first to have wide band width that reaches out side of the vehicle it self, and I like how he breaks it down.

I knew this was going to be an amazing vehicle when I reserved on day 1. 2027 can’t come soon enough.

Just like XM / Sirrus subscription service you can probably buy monthly if your going to secluded areas. Maybe they give you a trial taste at delivery.

I would bet on this model...
It doesn’t seem to be a subscription, it seems it will be prewired so you can install a starlink or similar to the roof via the roof rack. And this is to support Scouts bing ideology of that the one your Scout rolls off the produis your play ground.

It will probably have USB-C port at the top along that works into the cars system that allows WiFi antennas built into scouts to be used. It’s gonna be a huge disruption to Tesla and Rivian who are subscription based.

but as I said before picture will be coming out and when they do I’ll will send them out.

Updated with more details from Jamie at Scout Motors:

While we can't give a lot of specifics, we are partnering with an outside company on this (we don't have our own satellites :D). The equipment necessary to receive satellite data will likely be part of a package that is offered. More info as we get closer to launch, but this is a pretty cool feature for those that are interested.
Hope the outside company partner is SpaceX for Starlink!
As it stands now Starlink mini requires only a one square foot panel, but it needs to be on a swivel mount to be pointed at the correct point to get a signal. I have it on my RV, and it can't be used in motion, at every stop I need to orient it, only takes a minute or so.

I did have a TV satellite dish on my RV prior to starlink that would auto find and track the satellite, but it was much larger and pretty expensive, read $$$.

The Scout Traveler SUV on display at CES has been updated in order to imagine the possibilities with features and accessories consumers can choose for their own Scout vehicle including the Harvester™ Extended Range Electric Vehicle (EREV) option, an added roof rack with forward lighting and space for a satellite antenna, Rallye graphics, and spare-tire-mounted, five-gallon gas can for peace of mind during off-the-grid adventures.
I'm interested in seeing all of these factory accessories and options!
