Oh please don't make me do math. I'll have to take my shoes and socks off for that. Besides, I have to get started on making my Thanksgiving desserts. Now lets do the math. To find the other 80% to find the true battery range.

I’ve got it lol.Oh please don't make me do math. I'll have to take my shoes and socks off for that. Besides, I have to get started on making my Thanksgiving desserts.
150 is 20% of 750.Oh please don't make me do math. I'll have to take my shoes and socks off for that. Besides, I have to get started on making my Thanksgiving desserts.
I did i noticed people showing it in a few videos. Which it says 500miles*Did anyone notice this on the demo Terra? Grabbed this shot from a video post. Looks like there are options to engage the extender and even a way to possibly schedule it? It also shows something about a 50% charge limit.![]()

Very cool! An adjustable charge limit makes sense since staying at 80% is good for battery health and charging usually slows down between 80 and 100%.I did i noticed people showing it in a few videos. Which it says 500miles*
I agree. I had only heard the 150 mile part and maybe I misinterpreted it. Makes much more sense that it would start well before you need it and I wasn’t aware you could turn it off.I’ve been trying to find a reference for this 150 mile battery thing, but the closest thing I’ve been able to find was “the generator turns on after 150 miles”, which is obviously not the same. I just can’t imagine they would say the harvester version would have a slightly smaller battery and then put in a battery with almost 60% less range.
I chose the harvester for a few reasons.
1. long family get togethers with people who dont have home chargers.
2. Christmas travel between having to hop around grandparents sonce its a family tradition.
3. Fishing trips
4. im a gearhead and liquid gold burning engines are my work.
It is not designed to keep the battery fully charged. It is designed to extend the range, not charge the battery to full. But we willI don’t think it’s going to be as small as everyone thinks. It has to produce enough power to keep the battery from depleting even under relatively heavy load or you’ll run out of electric before the gas tank is even empty. With the Ram Charger they have a tow mode where the harvester kicks in earlier than in regular mode since the harvester will barely be able to keep up with towing load and that’s a big 6. For the Scout I don’t see any way a 3 cylinder would ever work. Going to have to be a decently powered 4, maybe turbo.
