  1. [Update: Scout Highly Confident' It'll Win Battle With Dealers] - California dealers demand Scout stop direct-to-consumer sales

The legacy automakers are sitting on their hands when they are already at scale to produce affordable and stylish EVs. I think they're hoping the EV-only companies will fail to scale up in time to grab ALL the price points. Lucid, Rivian, Tesla, and several SE Asian companies have already...
  2. [Update: Scout Highly Confident' It'll Win Battle With Dealers] - California dealers demand Scout stop direct-to-consumer sales

In ten years, worldwide car markets will be unrecognizable vs today. Every OEM is currently reevaluating where they fit with all the EV startups. Even exploring every legal avenue to hinder fair competition. But as ICE vehicles become increasingly irrelevant, the smart ones will outsource...

  7. Dual fuel

that would indeed require large displacement, to meet the instantaneous kw demand of such a heavy vehicle... plus excess amperage for charging
  8. Dual fuel

I do remember reading when Ram said this, and thinking only Stellantis would be crazy enough to wire direct to propulsion when the battery is already doing the same job
  9. Dual fuel

yeah, i doubt many people would make it all the way to the purchase stage without the basic understanding that it is primarily a BEV
  10. Dual fuel

Propane burns significantly cleaner. But it also carries lower energy density. I currently tow with a PHEV. But the battery capacity is so ltd, it's basically an ICE car when towing. That and the hope of running propane is why I'm so interested in the Scout. Because like you, I don't mind...
  11. Dual fuel

That's what I'm hoping for also, on the Harvester. With its longevity, I would keep propane tanks stored onboard for camping. Multiple uses. Then only fill the gasoline tank for a longer drive
