Scout UX / UI / infotainment / software deep dive demo from CES!

Greetings. We got to take a look at the Scout UX today and it was a blast. Scout has put together an incredible team. Scout head of UX was kind enough to walk us through their interface. The interior is just phenomenal.

I love the software but those pre-production screens are showing a lot of glare and reflections (and I’m sure fingerprints). I hope Scout addresses that as they get closer to production.

He must of. But I feel this time he’s had more freedom to add little touches like he was stating in the video. One thing I also noticed from watching the video again was how everything wasn’t so cluttered up. Very minimalistic approach.

I feel like thats the best thing about the designers in all areas of Scout Motors is that Scott is letting them be free but he wants them to not go overboard like Tesla and BMW, the crappy new MINI OS9.

And they also have a-lot more time to perfect everything since the production is 2 years out.

A lot of it is the angle of the sun and the camera angle. I've got the same video but filmed from the back seat and they look better. Can't post it here but if you check the video description there should be a link to our Facebook group for reservation holders. It's in there.

Your right its because of the steering wheel. Thats what i was talking about is that on the concepts and they saved money for not making everything little thing functional. Which is smart.

Oh do I have so much to say about that Mini OS9 system. I did a video on it and I think after the 3 time I did a review in the newer mini’s I just gave up said to watch my first one of the Countryman Because it was so complicated and overwhelming.

This company has enabled high density solar cells within hood , roof etc. but seems to me while your vehicle is parked while working or kayaking it's an avenue to explore

finally, red screen for night driving. I really hope they execute well on this vehicle, I really like almost everything about it.

I dont see an under-body camera lasting too long... either the lense will constantly stay scratched up, covered in mud, or destroyed on a rock.

I think its tucked up with a protective lenses that can be replaced easily.

Looks interesting. I am concerned about the massive amount of reflection in all of the display panel surfaces. I really like the real buttons for many functions.
