Life isn't fair nor are car dealerships. DTC is a better option for manufacturers to have a more personal relationship and accountability
I doubt it. They will probably have some arrangement with one or more rental agencies. There are liability issues and state regulations to deal with. Here, the majority have added rental agencies or drive you to the nearest one. Rental is usually free with warranty work. Here's a question to Scout ? Will Sout be offering loaners when vehicles are in for service during warranty period ??
I live in Myrtle Beach and would love to come pick my up from the factory.Columbia is a one-day 'round trip for me; so I'd love to get a factory tour and take delivery there! I'm ready tomorrow
I had a similar test-drive scenario - thought it was incredible they handled it like that (from a Meijer parking lot!)Our Tesla solar, Tesla Starlink and Tesla Charging business transactions have all been done online, no people.
I live in a neighborhood of many EVs and the Mobil service is working out OK from the tales we've heard.
Test driving Tesla's were with no human contact at all. They gave us a cell phone code, assigned us a demo car and it's location, and we simply walked up to it and it unlocked and unblocked and was ready to roll.
Hold the thought Scout is saying they want the Owners to be able to handle 70% of the mulligans DIY.
It's a new Era. Science fiction is now a reality.
I hope so! My KIA needed warranty work and the dealership is 110 miles from my home. Since my car is a PHEV, they gave me an EV as a loaner. I would have been fine with ANY car but thought that was a nice touch. Here's a question to Scout ? Will Sout be offering loaners when vehicles are in for service during warranty period ??

Everything will be either a Screw and/or Bolts and Nuts. Its really impressive to see a Manufacturer wanting the Owner to touch the Vehicle especially that now days they make it impossible. But Scout Motors is staying true to the Scout name.Ill take that.
In a OHV it's a BFD.
Loved it - and they spelled it correctly! Now I wish I had my scout for the Eagles Super Bowl parade !! How about those birds
