I'm hanging on in the hope they offer a turbo 4 or NA 6 cylinder option.

BE the first with an ICE swap. You may be able to help supplement the cost with videos and selling the motor and battery or installing those in a classic International Scout. An old EV and a new ICE.

This is a nice to have/luxury expense, it’s not a must-have. I’m still excited about the design and the EREV concept. If it works out it will have been well-worth the small deposit paid. I wish Scout the best and trust that they can be more agile in this uncertain political period than other manufacturers given their unique start-up and pre-production phase. I appreciate that my tone would be different as a Canadian citizen though… Hope things change for the better on both sides of the border!

The nerfed towing rating of the harvester versions has killed some interest for me for sure.. but I will leave my reservation in place in the hopes that engineers can bring it back to at least 7500lbs...

$100 out of pocket isnt going to break the bank right now, and we still have two years to go before seeing more production-like versions beating the streets.

I am also keeping my reservation for the BEV Terra. My only concerns are that Scout will not deliver on everything we love about the concept vehicles and/or the costs will be much higher than planned. Anything can happen over the next 2 years and I am definitely not worried about a $100 deposit sitting around until we get more details closer to launch. I'm excited about what Scout Motors is doing and just hope the hype results into reality for the consumers that are supporting them. I appreciate them not rushing to market a POS vehicle but if they can build a solid and affordable vehicle that people want, they will sell more than they can make. Remember when Ford priced the Lightning Truck Pro model as the cheapest but didn't build many of them? They wanted everyone to buy the expensive Lariat/Platinum models. If any company just builds what consumers want and can afford then they will sell like crazy.

Not any change. The tariff stuff going on, while chaotic is still completely undecided and from what I have been reading about is more about getting countries to the table vs actually having a tariff.

With the low refundable reservation cost there is no reason to cancel as I honestly think this car is closer to 3+ years away before actual deliveries.

I think everyone needs to take a step back and calm down and keep in the previously mentioned 'wait and see' mentality.

100% agree with this line of thinking.

Not sure if you're being serious but given the new focus on drilling and fracking, they might be considering this but highly doubtful IMHO.

I want the Scout to be a 50 states vehicle. Something that can connect people, not divide them. If it makes a statement, that is the statement I hope for. It will be hard for Scout to be a success if they are a 31 or 19 state vehicle. I would have to do a lot more time consuming research, but while one probably has higher EV adoption rates, the other has larger full size SUV and Truck market. Scout has the problem and the opportunity to bridge that difference between EV adoption and full size SUV and Truck sales.

I’ll likely wait until MY29 based on when we add drivers in the family. But should still have it well over a year before Europa Clipper arrives at Jupiter in April 2030. Patience for a car is easier when you compare it to space travel.

Nerd Alert!
I have a printout of my Scout reservation and an article about Europa Clipper's '5-year journey' taped side-by-side on my home office bookshelf.

Ah yes. I hate the frunk. Give me a small highrevving I4 or even a motorcycles V-twin. End the debate range. Not to mention how much better for the environment is when you burn Methanol vs. using solar.

Not me

In 2017 Ford announced they we bringing the Bronco back in 2020, I leased a car while awaiting the Broncos'. Bronco reservations opened in July 2020 and I reserved one, I took delivery in 2024.

Reserved a Scout in 2024- Based upon my experience with Ford I'll get impatient sometime in 2031 or 2032.
