I think Honda has the tailgate solution you are looking for.

Room to sleep IN both vehicles!

I never thought of the temperature thing with an EV. I camp/ sleep in my Grand Cherokee several times a year and use the key fob remote start to warm it up before I go to bed and in the AM. I usually sleep in my tent in the summer due to the heat. That's one no-go for me, if I can't sleep in...

    Goodbye EVs in the US?

My SIL has a Mach E, I love that thing, super powerful, smooth, just a really nice car. Works for her, not so much for my use case.

    Goodbye EVs in the US?

Fixed it for ya. It will be interesting to see what happens when the finger is taken off the scale. If you want an EV buy one, who cares?

Senators propose killing $7500 EV tax credit, adding new $1,000 tax for road repairs

I agree, that would be awesome to see a complete audit of the federal government to see exactly where our money is going!

Senators propose killing $7500 EV tax credit, adding new $1,000 tax for road repairs

The goal would be that yes, the tariffs raise prices but we (US) would lower income taxes resulting in more money in individuals pockets and encouraging people/ businesses to make stuff in the US. So tariffs, with no resulting tax decreases, aren't great.

4-Cylinder Harvester EREV engine confirmed by CEO Scott! + 0-60mph, range, payload, towing specs discussions

I wouldn't be surprised if they started sharpening their engineering pencils on inauguration day.

4-Cylinder Harvester EREV engine confirmed by CEO Scott! + 0-60mph, range, payload, towing specs discussions

That's what I'm hoping for. I have no interest/ desire for EV stuff, not a political statement just my reality/ use case.

Senators propose killing $7500 EV tax credit, adding new $1,000 tax for road repairs

I don't recall a discussion about all federal taxes going away, I do remember discussions of removing certain incomes from taxes (SS, Tips, etc.). Did I miss something? I'd be excited to see that!

Senators propose killing $7500 EV tax credit, adding new $1,000 tax for road repairs

I'm all in on starving the beast, i.e., keep as much money out of their hands as possible. They really don't care though, they just print what they "need". Problem is you're not getting your money back. Your money was spent wasted. The reduction in your taxes today is going on a credit card...

Senators propose killing $7500 EV tax credit, adding new $1,000 tax for road repairs

It's not only for EV's, VA charges extra for "fuel efficient" vehicles as well, it's called a "highway use fee".

Is Scout dead in the water? I'm not buying it at a 10-25% tariff added cost.

Why do we/ they think the Scout will be priced below the Rivian? Cheapest Rivian R1S on the site is $77,900. I've not looked at really what they offer but it's a full size EV SUV, wouldn't it be a pretty close competitor? Or is the R2 the competitor starting at $45K?

    Project StarGate (NO POLITICAL STATEMENTS)

Hadn't heard of it until this post. My limited googling looks like it's a black hole to pour billions of dollars in. Cancer "vaccines" in 48 hours???? Larry Ellison contended that Stargate could lead to the AI-facilitated production of mRNA vaccines against cancer, and that such vaccines...

Start of production coming late 2027 for Scout vehicles (update by Scout 1/20/25)

NA V-6 would be awesome but I'd take a turbo 4 as well.........

Start of production coming late 2027 for Scout vehicles (update by Scout 1/20/25)

And with no dealer network hopefully they won't be able to screw everyone over like Ford did with the Bronco. Massive dealer mark-up's at delivery, giving cars to high volume dealers while early res holders waited until the end of time to get their cars, etc.

Trump to End EV mandate today(1/20/25) *** ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS TALK, ONLY POLICY ***

Those don't need to be mandated. If people want safer cars then manufacturers will make them and people will buy them over the competition. A/C, power windows, power locks are not mandated, how many cars sold today don't have them? People doing "whatever they wanted" is sorta like freedom of...

What are you driving until Scout release date? Photos thread!

2015 Grand Cherokee I better be able to sleep in the back of the Scout or I may have to buy another GC instead.
