regenerative braking - one-pedal mode or steering wheel paddle operated?

I loved the steering wheel paddles on my ELR - hardly ever used the brake pedal... The Volvo XC40 taught me to love the one-pedal mode which only required the brakes for the last bit of stopping...

What do you prefer?

Steering wheel operated... I'll pass. Lift off the accelerator for regen braking, and put fine-tuning options in settings **SNOW MODE**. Depending on the implementation, I'd even take blended braking as plenty of OEMS do a good job with it these days.

I want both... paddles to change regen settings that are applied when letting up on the accelerator.

Edit: Note that I put my Lightning in Sport mode without one pedal every time I drive it and its just about perfect for me however I would like paddles to fine tune based on traffic. I am not a fan of "one pedal" but do like a fair amount of automatic regen.

I prefer one pedal mode 90% of the time especially in city/highway driving. Don't need nor want a paddle to switch out of it, an easy to find software button is fine.

I am sure this question will be complicated by the intended "off-road" usage of the Scouts. What may be a great solution for a strictly highway-use vehicle may not be the best solution for this blended use.

Both for sure, each with adjustability between the normal amount of decel in a conventional automatic ICE vehicle and the most that the system can safely handle. Brake light application when using regen should be based on a predetermined deceleration rate and not driver adjustable. There should also be some level of non-adjustable creep built in, so that the brake pedal must be depressed to keep the vehicle stopped unless a hill assist or brake hold function has taken over.

you can do both one pedal driving with steering wheel regen controls. if it had to be one or the other, one pedal for sure.

Braking is done with the brake pedal but it is mostly Regenerative braking except if braking hard or right at the point where you come to a complete stop. I have used one pedal drive also but find it to be too aggressive on throttle lift.
Ideally, the Scout will have the option to switch between one pedal drive and regenerative braking using the brake pedal.

Do you all think the Traveler with cruise control and distance monitoring/breaking will be offered standard? Im not too sure how that works with the one pedal system.
