For everyone who thinks Trump will be getting rid of the EV tax credit, In his first term he could have easily gotten rid of it. The Credit was introduced back in 2008. If President Trump was to attempt to repeal the Act. It would be up to congress Which they would have to amend the law or they would have to pass a new law to eliminate the EV tax credit Act. He can put restrictions to make it harder to rig the system with the lease trick(which I’m sure has help plenty get EVs), which I feel we all can agree that it’s wrong to do that since it takes away from government funds but to each their own.
I hope that Trump will improve the situation for EVs on the market to compete with Chinese vendors. But I suppose that one can expect everything from Trump, a really unpredictable politician.

He is a businessman let’s remember. Thats where the unpredictable nature comes from but also he's very strategic. But i would like to see companies compete with China EVs but its probably better off to just keep them out of the US to protect the country’s Car Industry.
