Lord only knows us Bronco owners who had early reservations can tell you all about this.

most likely was. The whole dealer allocation thing was a mess. Hopefully taking dealers out of the mix will mean it will be a smoother process now. The reality is dealerships are not needed anymore

Ordered both at 3:35PM PST (6:35 EST) on 10/24. Also a member of the Scout Community… which supposedly gets me closer to the front of the line.

Scout isn’t Ford… and that should be a good thing. Dealers definitely got first crack at certain Bronco and Lightning models. And that makes perfect sense… Ford contractually has to do certain things with dealers - not to mention it serves them better to have models on lots for customers to see.

Ford also manufacturers cars different than other OEMs. They all do it differently. For instance, Ford might build 100 white 150s with exact specs at the same time. Where as BMW will build different models, colors, specs, right hand drive vs left hand drive… all in sequence on the same line. They don’t batch anything.

I’m not sure how VW does it in Chattanooga but I’d tend to believe they do it more like BMW than like Ford. So this could mean you won’t get bumped in line just because you want a color that is less popular. But like all of these discussions… we will have to wait and see.
