Chery Vehicles in China will start to have Solid State Batteries in their new cars. This would mean that Quantum Scape and PowerCo would have to be competitive with the market.

https://cleantechnica.com/2024/11/19/chery-claims-to-have-1-gwh-solid-state-battery-production-line/

electric viking on YouTube confirmed that last week they had containers filled with materials to make them.
It was reported that the 2027 Dodge Charger Daytona EV will have SSB's for a demonstration release. They will be made here in the US by Factorial's factory building in Methuen, Massachusetts. The same STLA Large platform that underpins the Dodge Charger Daytona will be used by Jeep, Alfa Romeo, Chrysler and Maserati , so we could see solid-state battery-powered EVs from these brands also.
So it is sounding promising for the Scout to have SSB's, which would increase the range while having less weight and faster charging times. Sign me up!

Weight saving is huge in EVs especially with big Off Roaders, would hate for the DOT to mandate roof lights as cool as they are it would kill the Scout Vibe of having a clean look. And more range is always better.

Last week I was talking with Jamie about the battery range on the Full EV and Harvester and he was telling me that if anything their projected range numbers will be definitely higher than lower when the EPA checks range.

I'm going pure BEV and I have never owned an EV.
Anyone.....like myself that was in heavily impacted areas from hurricane Helene was without power for a week (my family and I) to about a month or more.
During a natural disaster, or in some places....routine power outages, Harvester would pull double duty as a generator for home/work/campsite, as well as range extension that would allow power past the 2-3 days that is very probable, and get out of an effected area. Most newer gas stations, and premium homes have a fuel based generator.......my thought process, "why not my vehicle"? Especially since home generators are static.....its just another perspective, regardless of what past vehicles I have owned.

I'm from WNC, my parents still live there. My choice is still a pure BEV.
