I I would love if a performance Scout was offered. These were taken at the Porsche museam, and both vehicles competed well. I believe Porsche did these legitimate off road racers because they were catching hell of people saying Porsche can only race on level tracks……this stopped that.
Hopefully...
That was a big part, the other aspect was it not being advertised well to ladies.
While my wife would be fine with a vehicle with no power steering......there are some options that make sense for any vehicle not limited to the farm.......
Biggest being sensible entrance/egress (it would rule...
Do you think Bschurr that utilitarian has changed......in expectations.......from the late 1970's to now?
I know that no A/C would be a deal breaker in 2027, when commercial lawn mowers have it on many models.
I only ask the question because some options are really cheap with the current...
I think that for a moment.......then the romance passes because: I think no power or disk brakes, no A/C, no power steering, and even this cherry ride probably has south of 700 FT LBS TQ. compared to the new 1,000 TQ.
I gotta at least have power brakes, and of course I could add all the options...
And that is the beauty, we have choice......Scout will compete with Wrangler and Bronco, that have some of the most unlimited aftermarket around.....its already an option to order or not at the buyers discretion.
Since Scout will share the same software in this aspect as Rivian.......YES PLEASE GIVE ME AN OPTIONAL KNIGHT RIDER DASH.
Now the win for everyone........OBD Eleven, will probably support Scout, as it does with Lamborghini and so on......really can allow the owner to customize the layout as...
No such thing as bad publicity......in this case its not really bad either.....just free publicity.
I personally will be picking mine up from the Blythewood facility, and would offer FREE transportation (provided I don't have a competing obligation) from the Columbia Metropolitan Airport to the...
I live close enough to Blythewood, and see the alacrity that the facility (almost 2 miles large) is being built......I really believe at least as far as timelines......IMHO Scout will underpromise, and overdeliver. Provided pricing stays where its projected, its going to be worth the wait.
Considering that "murdered" or "vadered" out is completely played out.....it's refreshing to see something dripping in white.
If ordered, modern interior ceramic coatings could keep the interior clean (biggest concern) for all of $300 with lifetime warrantied products.
Anyone.....like myself that was in heavily impacted areas from hurricane Helene was without power for a week (my family and I) to about a month or more.
During a natural disaster, or in some places....routine power outages, Harvester would pull double duty as a generator for home/work/campsite...
That could happen, as Nissan will Internationally cut……..9,000 jobs.
VW is doing some deep cuts in Germany as well, but candidly they are the biggest vehicle conglomerate in the world by far.
Scout could easily ride out a 5+ year storm with the heavy financial support behind them. As long as...
Even while Scout will be marketed to North America, the laws very substantially as you mentioned.
example: Honolulu, HI fines $297 per window that is tinted beyond legal, that means the corner window and side windows that don’t even roll down in some vehicles, could be a $2,376 total fine…..for...
Most of the preorders (81%) last I checked were choosing Harvester.
After the recent Hurricane Helene, and being without power for 2-3 states for more than a week, that is why I am going Harvester.
I am actually optimistic for both brands, I don’t think anything from the customer perspective would change much, if VW or Scout bought Rivian.
They both sell directly to the public, but unfortunately Rivian’s second Georgia manufacturing facility had to be placed on hold, I hope with Scout (or...
I personally believe one reason why Scout bought many Rivian software products is that VW would likely buy Rivian when the numbers add up better for VWof A.
Also, it’s a BAD thing for any automaker to go out of business (example Fisker).
I can envision that Rivian could make a better F-150...

Rivian had a Halloween digital upgrade on Halloween.
Frankly who wants “Snoop Dog” as a navigation voice over Kit, from Knight rider.
I hope Scout has fun with it.
even if it doesn’t come from the factory the way you want, Carly and...
I’m in Columbia, just outside of Blythewood……500 jobs will be executive positions in SC, then the remaining 3,500 static jobs are proper blue color jobs with benefits, childcare, VERY low cost leases on all VW vehicles, and a BEVY of other components that would keep talent, you can see their...
Plans are for Scout to offer substantial aftermarket and dealership installed parts similar to Jeep Wrangler, and Bronco.
mods for the week I buy my Traveler:
automatic/retractable steps that can be “side skid plates”
All windows will be tinted in “clear” heat rejection films (sides and rear...
I’ll be getting the Harveter option, simply because it was a wake up call after Hurricane Helene left us with no power close to a week.
The Harvester for me will be a range extender, likely better resale, and my generator for major storms that leave areas without power.
