That was a big part, the other aspect was it not being advertised well to ladies.Yes and it ruined the company when they went on a 100+ day strike.
While my wife would be fine with a vehicle with no power steering......there are some options that make sense for any vehicle not limited to the farm.......
Biggest being sensible entrance/egress (it would rule out disabled/handicapped, and many ladies/short folks if it doesn't have a "kneel" feature or power running boards) is my only real concern with Scout being successful moving forward. I know anyone can add power running boards, but if the testdrive is akin to getting into a tank......I know I talk about vehicle purchases with my wife.....even if it's my vehicle that she would rarely drive.......it would be a hard sell. Even a Lotus Elise that is very close to the ground, being the PITA it is to get into, mostly rules out everything other than the most fringe enthusiasts. At least at first, Scout will have to have a product that most anyone can enjoy.
