Here’s the only thing everyone can be sure of - when the Scout comes out it will cost more and have less features than the revealed model.
that’s just how it is with every car maker.

Here in California the rebates don't matter because of qualification criteria. As for used Raptors, unless you are looking at 4+ years old or high mileage you are in the same price range. Looking at Autotempest a 2023 Raptor with avg miles (20k'ish) is $75k+, some approaching $80k and that's approaching warranty expiration.I fully expect traveler Harvester + Offroad to come in at a minimum of 70k…which, yeah, is gonna be a no go for me (unless there’s somehow 10k of rebates like they’re implying).
We can afford it but…at that price I’ll just buy a used Braptor.

Braptor = Bronco Raptor. Low mileage used are popping up from 60-70 frequently, and some new ones are going for 75-85.Here in California the rebates don't matter because of qualification criteria. I really love the new Bronco - but was underwhelmed by the engine offerings and the price at the upper trim levels. My first car was a '91 Explorer (love it) and grew up driving Ford's (mustangs etc.) but with the issues on launch of the Bronco and seeing some of the mark ups I refused to buy one.Braptor = Bronco Raptor. Raptor trucks are awesome, but yeah - they hold their value super well. I don’t have a need for either really, but my wife loves my current Bronco so if I’m going to spend that kind of money, I might just go that direction.
I'd relax and wait to see what pans out. The tariffs are more of a starting point on negotiations and more fair trade with the U.S. Also, less CNN may do ya some good! There are things you can do about like calling your congressmen. You can control it in two years and vote more EV friendly people into office, and people that may have the sack to pull away tariff powers from the executive branch. Those should have only been temporary when it first given to the executive branch. I would say this is precisely the time to start thinking about this stuff otherwise the time will pass us by and we do in fact get whatever they decide to give us.
Whoever at Ford approved 100k pricing on Braptor needs to put down the crack pipe for even a single second.I really love the new Bronco - but was underwhelmed by the engine offerings and the price at the upper trim levels. I agree. I went to a local Ford dealership and they had a 2 door, manual transmission, will optioned but not top trim with a $40k markup! I looked at the guy and said "are you serious?", he smirked and said it's what the boss wanted. I turned and just said, "you know Ford's aren't rare vehicles" and walked out.Whoever at Ford approved 100k pricing on Braptor needs to put down the crack pipe for even a single second.
I got my black diamond at sticker in 2022 during crazy pricing times, and buying an identical spec now has an MSRP $6300 higher. Absolutely wild.
BINGO!!!!Why are we spazzing out about this when the vehicle doesn’t go on sale until 2027 at the very earliest?
Nothing better to do in the interim? At least it keeps the conversation goingWhy are we spazzing out about this when the vehicle doesn’t go on sale until 2027 at the very earliest?
