I’ll second your The Knob™️ and add a vote for a The Button™️ that can be pushed to turn on Harvester.
If I’m staring at an 8 mile steep grade I want to be able to just blast harvester on demand.
Yeah, I’d trade the frunk for towing capacity. Realistically, towing is an edge case for me, but “I want a frunk!” doesn’t seem like a primary buying motivator. I wonder if engineering is too set in stone at this point to change?
I want a dark brown interior option, to go with my anticipated green (or blue) exterior. I have an Eruption Green Bronco and all the interior trim being black and gray is very meh. The one brown interior option is only some seat panels, not the whole interior, and looks janky.
In a perfect...
I’m mixed on the swing out. I have a Bronco too and it’s annoying, but I insist on a full size spare. They’ve said the swing out is optional so I assume it’s removable.
Been wondering if carrying the spare internally like old Broncos and Blazers would fit a 35.
I mean, I spend a month per year on the road driving 600-1200 miles a day (up to about 17 hours, and Nebraska through western Nevada really flies) but I’m an exception.
Keogh talked about this in his interview with inEVitable podcast. “Nobody really needs 300+ mile range” is true, but consumers...
This is super informative. Which half tons have these gamed towing numbers?
A quick search indicates 2000lb payload is a bit lower than f-150 at 2400 lbs, but higher than Tahoe at 1700 lbs.
Somehow I hadn’t picked up on harvester being behind the axle rather than on top/slightly in front so...
I’ve been wondering on resale myself. If it follows the usual EV resale trends (bad) I’d be sorely tempted to wait for someone to unload their $80k model for $50k a year later, and feel better about someone else taking the leap of faith on initial reliability.
That said I hope they offer...
Given the size and weight differences, I wouldn’t expect it to match them. The break over angle is likely to be significantly worse (if they keep the battery fairing level with the rear axle like the prototypes) as is the departure angle.
Plus, the actual body on Traveler would appear to be way...
I wonder if the tow rating discrepancy is a battery chemistry thing? I’m new to EV batteries, but it shouldn’t be much difference (certainly not 5k lbs!) between curb weight on harvester versus BEV.
Anyone who knows batteries that can chime in on…idk discharge rates? Heat dissipation issues?
I caught that too. Disappointing. That’s the low end for me, but not a deal breaker. I was happy with 7k, lets me tow most vehicles on a trailer with a little headroom.
On my soft top Bronco, the vast majority of wind and road noise comes from the rear soft windows rather than the roof.
I suspect the cabana top, while not as quiet as the steel or glass, will be plenty quiet. Most road noise comes from the sides (tires, passing vehicles) and undercarriage.
https://merakihammocks.com/ is where I got it. Check out their IG for a lot more photos than what the website has.
Probably a solid 8-12” of space between my face and the roof. A longer wheelbase would be nice for taller folks - I’m 6’ and it’s just long enough hanging diagonally. With factory...
The SUV will have a front bench seat option, if you’re concerned about seating 6.
Personally, I want hammock hooks for the inside like I have in my Bronco (but factory, so built in higher up). Hard to car camp when I’ve got a ton of stuff stored, but the hammocks just hang above it.
There’s also the claim to expect a front sway bar disconnect with the locker. If that’s the case I’d expect at least some skids.
Marketing material showed rock rails, and they’ve mentioned a factory winch option as a possibility.
