They are putting car play in. I was messaging with Jamie from scout last night.
I sure hope this is true. I also will cancel my order if it doesn't have CarPlay. And I refuse to pay for a car/truck and then also pay for continual charges/subscriptions to drive my car or use the electronics.Android Auto will also be on it. he said last night probably another year before they make the announcement.
I will get back to you on if it’s subscription based, from what it seemed it will be a standard feature.I sure hope this is true. I also will cancel my order if it doesn't have CarPlay. I have a MachE and won't pay for blue cruise once the initial period ends. I have a GMC truck and refuse to pay for onstar.
I also won't buy a newer GM, Rivian or Tesla because CarPlay is that important to me.
Awesome news and a relief. Thanks for sharing. They are putting Apple CarPlay in. I was messaging with Jamie from Scout last night.

I think we really need that official announcement. Was anybody else around for 2018-era Rivian where they said privately that they'd add it if enough people wanted it? Didn't work out all that well.
Glad to hear that because I actually don't prefer using Carplay over a good factory infotainment / navigation system. I'm not alone in that either... a lot of Tesla owners would agree with me. The Tesla software is so good, lack of Carplay / Android Auto isn't a common complaint.“Carplay and AA are included, but it did appear to have a solid nav of its own as well.” - Harris 005
I don't agree, other than finding charging stations, I'd much rather use Waze than the Tesla maps, same with music.Glad to hear that because I actually don't prefer using Carplay over a good factory infotainment / navigation system. So I'm hoping that Scout offers both a strong infotainment system that can stand on its own, but also offers Carplay and Android Auto for those that are used to using it. Best way to open up the widest customer base too.
The derision of people asking for CP/AA on the Rivian Forum approaches fanboi proportions. No reason that Rivian can’t offer their own infotainment system alongside of CP/AA, and let the users choose what they’d rather use. But no, anyone that asks for CP/AA is considered addled, or told to that maybe they should be driving something else.So I'm hoping that Scout offers both a strong infotainment system that can stand on its own, but also offers Carplay and Android Auto for those that are used to using it. I use Android Auto on my Bronco, and it connects when I'm driving my son's Escape as well. In this era, it's an expected feature. I love those Google maps in living color on the screen. So much nicer than a suction-cup Garmin. They are putting Apple CarPlay in. I was messaging with Jamie from Scout last night.

Are you saying that photo is of an Apple CarPlay screen and not Scout or Rivian?https://scoutmotors.community.forum/threads/instrument-cluster.1235/
So apple car play is confirmed. The Instrument Cluster was made with Apple Car play v2
