They are putting Apple CarPlay in. I was messaging with Jamie from Scout last night.

Android Auto will also be on it. He said last night probably another year before they make the announcement.

And here’s from a member i had talked to on the Scout Community Forum who went to the reveal event, “Carplay and AA are included, but it did appear to have a solid nav of its own as well.” - Harris 005

I sure hope this is true. I also will cancel my order if it doesn't have CarPlay. And I refuse to pay for a car/truck and then also pay for continual charges/subscriptions to drive my car or use the electronics.

I have a MachE and won't pay for blue cruise once the initial period ends. I have a GMC truck and refuse to pay for onstar.

I also won't buy a newer GM, Rivian or Tesla because CarPlay is that important to me.

I will get back to you on if it’s subscription based, from what it seemed it will be a standard feature.

Meh, I like CarPlay but dont choose my vehicle on it....but would like any car I have to actually support wireless car play, why not so awesome that Scout will have it!! Agree subscription fees are stupid, but pay for them on my Audi and it has CarPlay (no sub for that). And $100 year for my previous Tesla, none for current one - not CarPlay of course.

I think we really need that official announcement. Was anybody else around for 2018-era Rivian where they said privately that they'd add it if enough people wanted it? Didn't work out all that well.

Yep, it would've been better if they didn't address it at all than the pat on the head we got. I would not hold my breath waiting for that announcement.

Glad to hear that because I actually don't prefer using Carplay over a good factory infotainment / navigation system. I'm not alone in that either... a lot of Tesla owners would agree with me. The Tesla software is so good, lack of Carplay / Android Auto isn't a common complaint.

So I'm hoping that Scout offers both a strong infotainment system that can stand on its own, but also offers Carplay and Android Auto for those that are used to using it. Best way to open up the widest customer base too.

I don't agree, other than finding charging stations, I'd much rather use Waze than the Tesla maps, same with music.

The derision of people asking for CP/AA on the Rivian Forum approaches fanboi proportions. No reason that Rivian can’t offer their own infotainment system alongside of CP/AA, and let the users choose what they’d rather use. But no, anyone that asks for CP/AA is considered addled, or told to that maybe they should be driving something else.

Instead, the buzz is over “will Rivian give us ‘Halloween costumes’ this year?”, and disappointment when said “costumes” don’t work or aren’t up to expectations. Talk about a waste of dev resources…

I use Android Auto on my Bronco, and it connects when I'm driving my son's Escape as well. In this era, it's an expected feature. I love those Google maps in living color on the screen. So much nicer than a suction-cup Garmin.

However, I also subscribe to the Ford Bronco Navigation App. It's a drawn map, not a satellite photo, but it's good backup for $60/year, because The google/Android app does cut out in remote areas, but the built-in Ford Navigation App has never failed.

Are you saying that photo is of an Apple CarPlay screen and not Scout or Rivian?
It’s configured by scout but the gauge uses all apple CarPlay “apps” members of the forum found that each part of the gauge is directly linked to Apple CarPlay.
