I just put TOYO AT EV tires on my Rivian, heavy and battery sucking beast they are. I think at 55 lbs they are too heavy for the truck. I like them for off road, but will be switching back to OEM tires because I daily commute 76 miles a day.
The good news is that while many off road wheels are heavy, if installed as they are unsprung weight, they could be packed up in a truck bed, as static weight with nearly no change to range then swapped before hitting trails.

Yeah because other trucks on the road weigh the same. I was behind a 3/4 ton sitting on a scale with nothing in it, 6800 lbs. The point is there are plenty of heavy vehicles on the road driving around every day without tire issues. Buy the right tire is the moral of the story.

Yep, I’ve done that with my Rivian. It’s easy.

I have a Cyber Beast with the OEM AT Tires - pretty solid all around tire (Weight Rating, 130mph rated, Handles shockingly good for an AT, efficient, quiet). Bought the winter tire kit ($3k) with Goodyear DuraTrac RT's for winter and 4x4 as needed. Sux to have 2 sets vs all around perfect tire but since that doesnt exist.....

My 2010 JKU Rubicon 6spd got just over 52,000 miles on a set of 34x12.50 R17 Firestone Destination M/T 2 mud terrains - but regen can apparently really eat tires up, moreso than normal braking, we'll just have to see.
