Recent interview with Scout Motors President Scott Keough

He's a great public speaker and his gray suits and slicked back hair making him a great CEO

If only I had known when I was younger that it’s the hair.

Lol. Grey hair is making a comeback. Most people would shave it bald but its coming back grey hair slicked back or styled.

Isn’t South Carolina a “right to work” state (so a “right to minimum wage” state)? That’s going to be sad because the people working in the factories building the Scout won’t be able to afford $60,000+ to buy one. I really hope Scout doesn’t plan on doing that. I hope these jobs at the factory will be middle income jobs.

Best thing is staying way from the union who will control all of the wages. Thats what killed international was the strikes so they should. Just leave it alone and don't allow the unions.

Oh, I didn’t mention unions. I didn’t even think of unions. I’m just hoping that Scout pays more than minimum wage. I hope they pay livable wages so that people that work in the factory can be middle income.

You would hope that they would be competitive knowing that BMW is in the state with a factory

Yeah, I just don’t wanna feel guilty buying a Scout knowing the people that built it are not making a livable wage. Scout hasn’t come out with any announcements about any of this. It’s important to me.

LOL. Maybe that’s why I don’t like Chevys! Yeah, I hate Chevy. I don’t own Chevy. I would never buy a Chevy. (Sorry to all the Chevrolet lovers out there. ). I’m wondering if $3.20 an hour in Mexico is middle income?? It might very well be.

I’m in Columbia, just outside of Blythewood……500 jobs will be executive positions in SC, then the remaining 3,500 static jobs are proper blue color jobs with benefits, childcare, VERY low cost leases on all VW vehicles, and a BEVY of other components that would keep talent, you can see their salaries on the scout official website. I am sure purchasing would be (in addition to leases). The Audi, Porsche, and VW dealerships already have Scout employees engaging with their sales teams in Columbia, SC, as there isn’t a Scout for a bit over a year.

in addition to what Scout will be…..living in an area that will plus up employment by 4,000 static jobs, and then 5,000 supply positions later, and most of that 5,000 additional in the greater Columbia area.

Unless Scout asks above $70,000 for what we see in the show vehicles, it should sell quite well.

I am not an EV fanatic, but give me 1,000TQ, 0-60 in 3.5 seconds, Birds Eye 360 degrees cameras, ventilated and heated seats along with the “Harvester” option and keep it at current projected price points and they can take my money🙂
