Definitely looks sprayed with paint or something. Nice to see they bothered doing that on the concepts. They didn't have to for just concept vehicles.
Is this the paint chiping already though?
Wow judging by this thread the Scout Traveler is gonna put a hurtin on Jeep and Bronco sales. And the Terra should steal some F-150 Hybrid / Lightning sales.
I'd like to see various off-road lights options from factory and from the aftermarket -- light bars, ditch lights, flood lights, bumper lights, etc. Anything else I'm missing?
Also please give us easy electrical hookup to the AUX switches.
The concepts didn't have electric powered running boards, but maybe it will be offered as an option. If not, I'm sure aftermarket companies like AMP Research will be offering their PowerStep for the Scout.
Beautiful. And reminds me how hard it was to choose between the two. In terms of lighting on these concepts, anyone spot anything that wouldn't be DOT compliant and would need to be changed or added?
Saw this mentioned in another thread and hope this is something Scout is considering... rolldown rear window (on the tailgate). This is really popular with the 4runner folks and not enough SUVs have it as a feature. Great for ventilation, dogs, and hauling longer items in a pinch.
That's terrific news. Pretty much expected after that slide was posted previously but nice knowing it acknowledge officially.
Sounds like there's multiple future models coming so what does everyone guess we may get (in addition to a 2-door removable top Scout)?
That'd be a difficult/impossible package to accomplish because the Harvester would need about the same size battery pack as the full-EV model, but also fit the gas range extender engine.
I asked the mods to reset the poll and delete the Ceiling location choice because that's not gonna be possible with glass and cabana roof options.
Also added the B-Pillar location option. So vote in the poll above again!
US Scoute Motors stores & service center plans were covered here -- https://www.scoutevforum.com/forum/threads/scout-stores-service-centers-scout-studios-plans-revealed-25-will-open-in-2027-expanding-to-100-by-2032.11023/
Canadian plans for Scout Motors stores / locations:
Per Scout Motors...
I added a poll above -- what's your preferred location for air vents -- center console, floor or ceiling?
Hopefully Scout sees this and can take into account our opinions on loction.
Just saw the 2025 Bronco announcement and Ford finally added rear A/C & heat air vents on the 4-door model. Don't know what took them so long as owners have been asking for it ever since the new Bronco launched.
So the message to Scout here is to please give us proper rear passenger air vents...
Caught this article syndicated on my morning news feed. Some quotes relevant to this topic:
Traveler SUV, Terra pickup designs and hardware are all Scout, not Rivian

“We have no interaction with Rivian the car...
Begs the question - if Rivian ever is on brink of insolvency, whether VW would invest further capital to prop up the company (or even buy it outright) since it now relies on Rivian for such a big part of the Scout EV platform.
Agreed but they're so useful. Maybe the Traveler will come with a factory cargo mat that covers entire cargo floor so you can just remove it when you need access to the T-Tracks. And if not, the aftermarket will definitely offer options.
