Beautiful. And reminds me how hard it was to choose between the two. In terms of lighting on these concepts, anyone spot anything that wouldn't be DOT compliant and would need to be changed or added?

Possibly running lights due to the width, ala Ford Raptor / Bronco Raptor.

Edit - Looking at the Code, the Scout's may not qualify as they are 79.9", to get it under the 80" requirement.

That is all really nice looking. But, in reality, all I care about is how well the headlights illuminate things down the road and what sort of optional off-road lighting might be offered. Or what mounting points and prewiring will be on-board for adding quality off-road lighting. If the stock headlight performance is not excellent, that could be a show stopper for this old fart.

I’ve owned a lot of VW Group vehicles and one thing I’ve never been disappointed with is the headlights. Can’t imagine that changing with Scout.

Love the front and rear lighting!
I love melody of it, but honestly wouldn’t be upset if the LED ring around the outline of the grill didn’t make it to production. Reminds me of an Amazon ordered afterthought.

Vw depends on the model. The headlights on top line typically are good. My vw cc and Tiguan sel rline headlights both are really good but then on lower trim cars I’ve had they were avg at best

I've driven a number of late model VW Group rentals and the headlights were not all that great, well below the performance of the LED headlights in our 8 year old JCW MINI, which is my baseline minimum acceptable level of performance.

Were they base models with halogen or something? My last four VW have all been with adaptive LEDs and they are excellent. Never driven a Mini at night, so can’t compare to them specifically.

As they were rental heaps, I am sure they were base models.
