Doesn't look like a Scout in Silouette, I'll wait for a real picture.

The SUV's shape is definitely nowhere as boxy / upright as the old Scouts. What will be interesting to see is if the rest of the body styling is a mix of classic & modern or straight modern.

Excited for Thursday reveal!

Ha! Love the speculation, so I'll jump in with mine. ;) Obviously, I can't really know from those photos, but the approach and departure angles don't seem very aggressive? I'm hoping it's just the angle of the photos. 🤷

It doesn't look much like the Scout I know, but maybe I am wrong. If it is going to be a hit it needs to channel the original the way the Bronco does IMO.

Well this is tantalizing, my parents had one back in early to mid eighties. So who makes it??

The SUV silhouette makes me think of early 2000s Range Rovers. Hope like everyone else that the angle of the picture and lack of detail is playing tricks on the eyes. I like Range Rovers looks but I’m hoping for more classic Scout styling. Plus open air options. Now I’m worrying myself that the German-British unreliability doesn’t translate to a German-American reliability issue.

Profiles look like Rivian R1T and R1S, which I happen to like.

But would most of you guys here think that's a good or bad thing?

Yeah - I also like the Rivians.

But I think the question is, will it look like a Scout? From those silhouettes, I don't think so.

Making the new Bronco look so retro cool was what made it a success and I think the same will apply to a new Scout. We have lots of smooth, good looking SUVs to chose from, but heritage is what is hot in the market today.

Scout Motors. Parent is VW. Parent has megabucks deal with Rivian but this is entirely new from ground up.

As far as the silhouettes I will venture that these are stand ins possibly from Rivian or elsewhere.

The pickup gives me “refined Rivian” vibes. Like the silhouette is the same. But the grill looks awesome vs those weird oval rivian lights. I’d be curious to see both pickups go head to head.

Yeah - the lights are really the only thing I don't like about the Rivian design.
