I would like to see a all gas new Scout, but I guess thats a fantasy,Ill have to stick with my 78SSII
Uhhh.. am I the only one that's a bit underwhelmed by 50k reservations? Here's the amount of reservations so far, its probably bigger but this is what was given out by Oliver Blume CEO of VW leading investor of Scout Motors.
VW’s Scout has more than 50,000 reservations for upcoming EVsScout Motors has received more than 50,000 refundable reservation deposits for its first electric pickups and SUVs, according to Volkswagen CEO Oliver Blume.Scout CEO Scott Keogh said during a separate interview at CES that the reservations have exceeded the company’s expectations. He said about 70% of the reservations have been for the Traveler SUV, in line with company expectations.Keogh declined to disclose the breakdown between reservations for the all-electric and EREV models.“We’re super happy with the numbers,” Keogh told CNBC. “There’s been good reaction to the EREV.”
Even more concerning that they are already resorting to ads considering the number of Rivian R1s sold to date plus 100k+ R2 preorders and Rivian has run ZERO ads after 2+ years of production.Scout plans to run Ads for sport season upcoming, which will get the brand out there more. Right now its a niche brand.
Yeah i can call bullshit. I have seen many rivian ads recently.Even more concerning that they are already resorting to ads considering the number of Rivian R1s sold to date plus 100k+ R2 preorders and Rivian has run ZERO ads after 2+ years of production.
Just to clarify, I meant TV ads. Obviously, social media ads are ubiquitous.Yeah i can call bullshit. I have seen many rivian ads recently.
And nothing is concerning about marketing. And if it is you’re just a fool. Marketing is how any good company makes business.
Ive seen a good amount of Rivian ads on TV.Just to clarify, I meant TV ads. Obviously, social media ads are ubiquitous.
That said. I have yet to see one Rivian TV ads since preordering mine in 3/21.
Every $ spent on marketing is one less $ spent on engineering, design, and/or production.
A Dodge isn’t a competitor to a quality vehicle like Scout is proposing.I think the competition for Scout Terra is going to be the Ramcharger. If Ram is able to put that truck in production this summer, by mid 2027 it’s going to be selling with 15k discounts, putting it under the Terra. I can see people going with it, as Ram has dealers and service departments everywhere.
