    Spills no, fires yes. I don’t need a diamond but I do need a vehicle. If wind and solar were the future, the oil companies with their financial backing and resources would be embracing the technology with open arms. Yet, they’re not, and it’s not because drilling is cheap.

    I don’t mean to ran on your enthusiasm about not using oil and coal, but nearly everything comes from oil in or on your vehicles. Battery tech will get better and less harmful to extract.
