As topic says -- would you prefer one-pedal driving (1PD) or two-pedal driving (2PD) your Scout?

We don't know yet if the Scout Traveler and Terra will be one-pedal driving or two, though I'm betting it will be the more traditional two-pedal setup since the CEO seems to understand that we want to actually drive and have more control over our vehicles, not less. Or maybe we'll get a system setting that allows owners to switch 1PD off / on, so we can decide for ourselves which driving style we like better.

But I'm curious what the members here would prefer -- 1PD or 2PD?

I would assume the regen level is adjustable like most EV's. MY R1S is my first EV and I love one pedal and have the regen set to high. I have not taken it off-road, but interesting enough my Gen 6 Bronco has a one pedal driving feature for off-road that I use rarely.

My daughter uses the one pedal on her car. I was too afraid to try it and made her switch when I drove it.

I could see wanting 2 pedal for off-road but otherwise 1 pedal is a dream.

Every one pedal driver always has a brake option. If you come in hot, hit brake it still works. Would the option in the poll be to turn the regen completely off? If that is what you desire, be prepared to lose 20% of your mileage range. Once you get used to one pedal driving, you’ll find it far superior to 2 pedal.

Yep, it's fairly standard practice to have both options available and with a few levels of customization in-between. Some older EVs don't have full one pedal. But any modern EV will have both.

Beyond that, it's personal preference. Understanding you may lose some efficiency depending on your settings, which can be vehicle specific.

As was stated above, when using 1 pedal driving you can use the brakes at will. Honestly, . I've been driving Tesla's for a few years now and 1 pedal driving has been one of my favorite features. It becomes natural very quickly and when I drive a car without 1PD it feels privative.

If Scout foolishly didn't offer 1 pedal driving I would not purchase. It's that good.

I hate going back to driving a ICB gas car after driving my car with 1 pedal driving, it takes me a while to get used to it, but both need to be options.

We should absolutely have the choice to select. But....1 pedal driving (once you get used to it) is absolutely superior. Fight me if you think I'm wrong.

From what I've heard from friends with EVs is that it's hard to go back to 2 pedal driving once you've tried 1 pedal driving for a while and gotten used to it.

But please Scout Motors whatever you do, give us ability to select the brake regen level!!! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 Teslas are so annoying cuz they force their predetermined level of brake generation on you without ability to disable or even turn down its strength.
