Okay lots of assumptions. I’m going to upgrade this from a SWAG to a WAG.

- Harvester gets 18mpg equivalent - approximately Bronco wildtrak
- Uses 3cyl vw engine, weight rounded up to 200lbs from 188.
- Fuel tank 19.4 gal, about Bronco wildtrak 4dr size.
- Fuel tank weight empty same as Bronco wildtrak 4dr tank weight
- Scout batteries have same range to weight and energy density as rivian r1t Max.
- .37 kWh/mi for rivian, .35 for scout (35s versus pickup bed)

Results - estimated total energy source weight. Battery pack for traveler bev and r1t Max, battery pack plus fuel plus tank plus ICE for traveler harvester

R1t max 2060 lbs
Traveler Harvester 1103 lbs
Traveler BEV 1759 lbs

That is interesting. I guess I thought with batteries, and the harvester, these vehicles will be heavy, as you said. I thought with that weight and spinning tires they would burrow into soft ground like a tick.
On sand and the like, all these vehicles need to air down to keep from digging in.

But in snow, extra weight is an advantage and helps with grip, all things equal. 🍻

I didn’t realize fuel weighed so much less than water! My math was wrong.

~650lb difference is pretty interesting. That’s the weight of 3 good sized passengers. Sounds like Harvester models may have a higher power to weight ratio.

Stay on the designated trails and proper tires and you'll do fine.
Not every OH Vehicle is designed to do everything.
17 PSI tires on sand is the magic number.
