Welcome to the site! I have family on "Strong Island" in western Suffolk near Robert Moses beach. Scout Terra Harvester + Rivian R2 sounds like a good multi-size EV garage ๐Ÿ‘ Have you used the R1T to tow your Aistream?

Indeed - put on over 6000 miles this summer from NY to FL and back and NY to MO and back and various other trips localized to the Northeast. The plan is to travel all the way out West and that starts to give me range anxiety with my current set up. Last year I was pulling a smaller travel trailer, an 18 ft T@B 400 and the Rivian served as the tow vehicle for that as well. Not too many long haul trips on that one though.

I'm also in Western Suffolk but on the North Shore.

Good morning and thank you for the addition to the group. I have been driving electric for 14 years having gone through first generation Volt prior to two Tesla model S. Previously had reservations for Rivian and Cybertruck but pulled them for various reasons (charging network, failed delivery on initial specs etc). Really like what the Scout team has put together with the Harvester option.

Hi, I've reserved a Scout Traveler Harvester. This will be my first EV, will replace my 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee Hemi Trailhawk, and will become my dd plus assume the duties of trailering my heavily modified '93 Wrangler to and from the trails.

Cheers!

Reserved the SUV w harvester. My Bronco has been taken by my teenage daughter. The traveler looks like I can drive it to the off-road park, have fun and get back home without recharge delaysโ€ฆ. Also dabble in EV commuting๐Ÿ‘

Good day all!
Just completed our rservation last night, I know, a bit late to the party. We have had multiple EV's on recerve, Fisker(bullet dodged there, although what a lovely little car it was t drive), Rivian R2 on reserve currently, R1 was on our list but priced itself beyond what was practical for us. Looking for a daily for the Misses. This rig checks a lot of boxes, and we can put a couple bucks a day away and be able to pay cash for it when delivery dates show up. That all being said, we kinda hope they elect to have some dealership representation in the long run.
Well here is to the waiting game with all you other fine folks out there.

I've always had sporty cars but have slowly grown into SUVs. I sort of fell into buying the Defender (and was very lucky to get one during Covid) and it is by far the best car I've owned (and I've had a lot!!). It does everything extremely well from offroading, long road trips, towing, there's nothing it cant do (bar maybe tracking it :giggle:). I've had it a little over three years and currently am over 50k miles in it which shows how much its used.

I can't think of anything to replace it but when I saw the Scout reveal it looks like it might be the one, so I'm looking forward to getting to see the brand grow and check out the cars as they become available. I live at the beach now, so thats about as much offroading I do now and I haven't had the need to tow as much so am excited to see how the Scout fits that bill and having the range extender option is nice for the times I might be towing something.

Hello all,

One of my earliest memories is being at the IH dealer in Jackson, MS with my Dad in 1976 to trade in his 1972 Travelall for a new Bicentennial 2WD Scout.

So many memories in that old truck.

In 1985, Dad bought a Terra pickup with a 4cyl and 4spd, and swapped them into the Scout, along with the bed wall and fiberglass cab top. That 345 was killing him on gas, and the steel standard top had succumbed to rust.

We did all the work together in our back yard with basic tools from JC Penney.

I took possession of the old scout in 1995 and drove it on-and-off for a few years, until it was made more of body filler than steel.

I miss my Dad, and I miss those simpler times....ready to get back a little of what was lost.

Cheers!
