Headlights need revision by the designers (resembles Hyundai Santa Fe)

The overall style is awesome but headlights are a major design cue these days, love it or hate it.

These unfortunately are too reminiscent of the 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe. Which isn't a bad looking vehicle from the front, although the rear is horrendous and carries the same light pattern.

I sure hope they change them in the final design. Otherwise I'll always compare them in my mind.

Please Scout reconsider!

You’ve got a day photo compared to a night. The scout only has horizontal bar for DRL. I don’t see a direct Hyundai correlation, but more so Porsche with its quad lights. But again, on the Porsche they’re the DRL so opposite here.

Looks a bit like my 1980. I assumed that was the idea since they didn’t go round.

I agree with OP. Headlights are the only thing they didn’t nail but it’s a huge part of the aesthetic.

Too futuristic for my taste. Would’ve preferred a more retro vibe.

I’m okay with the quads but if the just done a square white led outline with quads inside the square similar to the 80 above it’d differentiate a bit from Bronco and Jeep round think it wound’ve gone a long way. Simple and classic.

I’m ok with it. It likely keeps the cost down in manufacturing in having a similiar blueprint/mold to bulid from. I don’t want to pay 100k for an awesome EV/Gas truck/suv. Plus the rectangle over rectangle lights will pair nicely with my Bronco’s convex rectangle over round design in the driveway. Just my opinion tho.

I have a Porsche Taycan Cross Turismo with the optional adaptive Matrix lights that exhibits the four light points DAY OR NIGHT. Perhaps all Volkswagen Corporation vehicles will have some version of 4 point lights. This technology has been available in Europe 13 years and began on Audis.
The main feature is these shutdown select LEDs to not dazzle drivers in oncoming vehicles or when following. When I follow a vehicle I just see it in the dark with its tail lights. Works great! I've never had anyone flash their lights at me in spite of how bright the aimed beam can be I expect Scouts will have it too or at least optional. I also expect the NHTSA to make this mandatory on US vehicles by 2030 or so as the technology becomes more widespread and less expensive.

Agree. I am disappointed in the overall design and drive train technology, but mostly the front end. I was hoping for something more like the original. Not enough info about the vehicle on the web site for me to place a reservation.

The reservation is fully refundable or changeable up to production. By waiting to place it you get pushed way down the order list. This is the mistake I made with my Bronco order, had to wait a year longer than if I had not delayed my reservation.

Just curious, what were you expecting? I understand the front end is subjective and may not be everyone’s cup of tea. But from a tech perspective it has the basics of a platform launching in 2026-2027.

Don’t care. I have a Rivian, Scout did not win my approval.

I don’t like the front end. I want more of the original scout look overall. The front end with the headlights and that big skid plate don’t jive with me. I don’t like big grills, tall trucks, or big front ends. I don’t want a step to get into the bed of my truck. Scout did not win my approval. I’m not disappointed by this. It is what is. I love my Rivian and I’ll stick with it.

Makes sense if you’re not into it because of the design. I’m actually looking to get out of my Rivian and was mulling over a Lightning. Not thrilled with the software on Ford’s side so have been hesistant. Hoping these Scout twins fit me a bit better.

I think it’s a cool rig, just missed the mark for me. It’s a little too geared toward off roading. I like the idea of the range extender. Never been a fan of the Lighting. When my local dealer had the price jacked for less stuff compared to the Rivian I never looked back.

Just curious, if that’s the case why are you on the forum?
