I love all of the creative ideas and requests. I, too, see a car and always think, "Wouldn't it be cool if it had this." Hopefully, Scout is tabulating the suggestions and requests to see what is truly popular enough to be worth the cost. The less ultra niche and more global appeal, the more successful a startup can be with a reasonably priced car. To go ultra niche, you need to jack prices into the stratosphere to cover low numbers while still paying for tooling.
I would like to see a vehicle many can love with a few special items to set it apart. The Bollinger tunnel was definitely a set apart feature.

Totally agree! Though it would be nice if I could clean my windshield without having to have the driver's window up.

I hear you. Many of my cars had vertical gutter trim on the windshield for this purpose. I would guess it also quiets the wind buffeting at certain speeds by directing windshield air up over the car vs around the side which creates a low pressure at the side window and it blasts in when open.

Technology is changing that, although not overnight. The ability to customize is getting easier, so who knows what we may see. The good news is this is a brand new facility, so hopefully state-of-the-art.

How does a cabana roof work? I just imagine it leaking one winter or being thin and cold/hot with louder road noise.
Same way a sun roof works but on a larger scale. So far from what i have been told by Scout Employees, no leaking or issues have been spotted. But thats because it’s only on the concept vehicle that is well sheltered. But eventually when they start to test the cabana top on Engineering prototypes we will find out. Right now it seems only the steel roofs are being tested. From what i have heard don't quote me on it in anyway shape or form.

The cabana roof is very similar to these cars:
BMW Isetta '55-'62 overlap
Fiat 500 '57-'75 overlap
Fiat 500 '07+ integrated rail guides
BMW 318ti California '96-'99
Nissan Figaro '91
VW Beetle till '67
I am sure there are others.

Noise and the chance of leaking why we don't want one.

Whattttt????!!! Thats my only set in stone option so far. Since it seems that Companies that don’t randomly add things later seem to put the need r&d into making a product.

I'm thinking over time.

But,, the Germans are good at things like convertibles and soft tops so those that like this kinda feature should be good with it.
Their will be some German blood in the Scouts engineering I wager.

We never order sunroofs or convertibles,, so that's just us.
To others, I'm glad it's available.

I'm going to stick my neck out and predict sitting in a Scout with the cabana top closed, you'll have no clue it's a cabana top. It'll be that nice.
Then, on the outside, it won't have the starved-cow look.

That's how the Germans roll.

Plus, ask any experienced upholster'er that has ever worked with German Canvass. It's far superior and way, way finer quality and streets ahead in durability than canvas produced in the rest of the world.

One has to have talent and be on their game to work with it.

Good to read.
My Uncle Ray was a HellCat crewman across Europe in WW2.
He said "Captured Germans smelled like leather and canvas"
