Scout Motors' November 2024 construction update:
Another month and significant progress continues at the site. Crews have now moved more than 16 million cubic yards of dirt and continue grading and infrastructure additions and improvements. Progress has started on railroad connections as well.
MAIN ASSEMBLY BUILDING
This close-up of the main assembly building (above) shows continued progress made in erecting steel and additional roof decking. Approximately 89% of the steel has been installed so far. Assembly building foundations are 86% complete.
When completed, the assembly building will span nearly 1.3 million square feet.
PAINT SHOP
The paint shop (above) reached a major milestone last month with the final major steel structural beam installed. Exterior walls continue to go up as the paint shop gets closer to full enclosure.
BODY SHOP
The body shop (above) work continues at a brisk pace. 78% of the total steel has been erected, and 80% of the foundations have been installed.
The body shop will have more than 600 total foundations that will support 1.3 million square feet of space.

Big strides at our Blythewood, South Carolina, factory.
Steel is rising, dirt is moving, and milestones are being hit across the site. The assembly building foundations are nearly finished, the paint shop is closer to full enclosure, and the body shop is coming together with 78% of the steel framing already in place.
Progress you can see, and we’re just getting started.
