Question inspired by the stats on the reservation tracking sheet:

It'd be interesting to see how “Own an EV” and “Full electric or electric and gas” correlate.

If you're an EV owner, please answer the attached poll.

And please share what you drive and why you're sticking with full-EV or changing to EREV Hybrid Harvester?

We had a full EV (Volvo XC40) and while it had 230 miles of range - my wife had too much range anxiety (and it was her daily driver) - so we traded it for a Volvo S60 PHEV - she loves it and so do I. That said, it would take 500 miles of electric range for me to consider full EV again...

Kia EV6, BWM i3 rex
We have an EV, a Kia EV6. I've put a deposit down for a Traveler with Harvester, but it wouldn't be replacing the EV6 but our other two cars: a BMW i3 with range extender and a Toyota Sienna. I want a vehicle that I can drive locally purely on electricity and can also take on road trips through areas with poor charging infrastructure like Wyoming.

I drive a Tesla model y and an old Dodge truck. The Terra will allow me to have only 1 vehicle for all my activities. The reason I am staying full ev is I no longer have any range anxiety. There are plenty of chargers close to my location and with charging at home I normally am good anyways. Even towing my boat to the gulf is close enough with any load long as they keep the 350 or better miles. One of the huge reasons is that i love the minimal maintenance. Personally I do not want any gas motors added to my vehicle to make things more complicated and extra cost. However, I do understand why people would want them. I am glad that Scout is offering both forms for the customer to fit it to their lifestyle.

Tesla Model X owner and currently thinking the BEV Traveler with 350 mile range is my choice. I have home charging and feel comfortable that the Supercharger Network will meet my road tripping needs. I also don't want the maintenance of an ICE supported powertrain like the Harvesters. In four years of driving them my Tesla's have had zero maintenance.
Yes please, I'll have some more of that.

IF the batteries are Solid state and offer enough range, total EV. If they are like current, Harvester.

Currently have an ID.4 that I daily about 40 miles round trip and love it. For longer trips, I’d rather drive backroads/state highways over the Interstates though, so I’ll take my Jeep since the charging infrastructure just isn’t there. I’m going Traveler Harvester to be able to do the longer trips without the arm and leg gas costs in the Jeep, plus it just really sucks in so many ways for longer trips.

Tesla model 3 here. I had originally reserved the Traveler Harvester but when I found out the EV range was so poor, I reserved the BEV. Kept my Harvester reservation though in case the estimated range goes up from the 150. Being in Canada, that 150 mile range will be more like 95 miles in colder weather (not to mention how these range estimates are always about 20% too optimistic).

I have a MachE today and a leased Kia Sportage PHEV. I'm hoping the availability of the new Scout models aligns with my lead end date on the Kia. I plan on getting the EREV Harvester at this point (and my plans can undoubtedly change over the next two years). It will depend on the state of charge center build-outs at the national level. Yeah, call it range anxiety or whatever, but with politics what they are, I'm not 100% comfortable that we will see the ubiquity of charging infrastructure.

Where did you see 150 miles range? Scout is saying 350 miles EV range and 500 with the Harvester.

I was thinking about that last night. I'm worried that the insanity of gas guzzlers hogging all the EV charging spots out of spite is just going to get worse under the new administration in January. It's one of the reasons I kept my Harvester reservation.

Where did you see 150 miles range? Scout is saying 350 miles EV range and 500 with the Harvester.
I had asked about this in another area of this forum when Scout said the battery size would be reduced in the Harvester model. I was told that 150 miles would be the battery-only range and the rest would be from the gas generator.

My answer is a bit misleading, this will be our 2nd EV, keeping full EV lightning and adding a harvester scout as 2nd vehicle.

I am going with the EREV because the Traveler will be replacing our Expedition as our towing vehicle. We will be trading in our model y for the new Rivian R2.
