If Scout sticks with the horizontal speedo it should make it a real analog gauge with a mechanical sweeping needle. It's a great gauge design because it shows the volume of the speed by the swept area of the needle.

There really should be multiple options and not a fixed or dedicated display to allow the user to select what they want.

It's a screen, Scout should give us all the options they come up with and then give us the ability to edit existing layouts or create our own from the app. Give me all the abilities to customize what the dash looks like that I already have on my computer, phone and watch.

Someone with actual software management expertise is going to have to comment on this. While I agree with your sentiment the fact that no car manufacturer to my knowledge allows this suggests that it is more complex or prone to malfunctioning than it appears on the surface.
