Well that’s what I meant. One would hope that there are way more than “1100+” reservations by now & that Scout would be quoting a ROM-ish number by now….

I actually hope Scout doesn't publish reservation figures. I don't like the chest pounding reservation stats released by companies that haven't produced a single vehicle before. Comes off like insecure chest pounding sometimes. Let the vehicles speak for themselves... and the Scouts do that well!

And holy @$!# almost 82% of reservations are for the Harvester over the full EV?! I bet Scout Motors itself didn't anticipate it being so popular. Of course the caveat is that this is without pricing being announced yet...

I selected the Harvester because Scout says we can change our order and, at the time, it seemed like the Harvester would give me more options. But I already own two EV’s, am used to traveling long distances with them (trips requiring multiple charging stops) and don’t have range anxiety.

Whether or not I really go with a Harvester will depend on actual specs. i.e. How much smaller is the battery pack (i.e. pure electric range) and what is the price difference?

Considering the Cybertruck's 2M reservation take rate was less than 3%, the refundable $100 reservation fee is not a reliable gauge of buyer interest. I have three such reservations currently with Scout, Rivian (R2) and Chevy (Silverado RS) and the one I'm most excited about is the Scout. I just changed my Scout choice from Terra (gas & electric) to Traveler (BEV) due to concerns about the additional complexity and maintenance of the Harvester model. Having owned several Teslas, I know that 350 mile range with my Solar home charging and Supercharger network will work well for me. I also had 3 Chevy Volts and that is essentially the same concept as the Harvester.

In addition to the above issues, the SUV is more in line with my actual use case and it fits better in my garage and current charging at home setup. I do travel (road trip) with ebikes and so a hitch is essential but the truck bed while useful several times per year is just wasted usable space and bad for for BEV mileage. Also the manual bed cover would be insecure and a hassle.

My one concern about an optional feature I like is the Traveler Cabana Roof. I'm concerned about excess wind noise and weather integrity. Other than that, the Traveler BEV seems like the perfect vehicle for me. The question is will it come to market on time and on budget. I hope so although the R2 is probably going to be a year or more sooner and at the same or lower price point. It is nice to have options and I think either the Traveler or R2 SUV's would be good choices.
