For those coming from Porsche, Audi, VW, Lamborghini…….and frankly too many more to mention, who here has used OBD Eleven on their past platforms?
I have personally, and I believe it interfaces with all vehicle companies owned by VW.
It’s about a whopping $100, that allows you to use your Apple or Android phone to pull codes……..but more importantly to me, change how lights work, how doors unlock, how windows go down when unlocking (and the wiper sensors don’t detect rain), and you can change the speedometer when you change wheels to a smaller or larger diameter so your speed is accurate. This feature alone would get me to buy one if I didn’t already have one.
There is some fringe stuff as well that OBD Eleven can do with custom coding that is waaaay down the rabbit hole (to me), and is free if you know the long coding….but a few dollars if you purchase a “token” that has the upgrade already coded.
To my awareness, you wouldn’t use OBD Eleven to “tune” a vehicle for more HP/TQ, but you can alter throttle position parameters……for a more responsive throttle, and a number of drive/suspension settings.
Carly I believe does something similar, but again…..for brands that are VW owned.
Its nothing that voids any warranty, as a person, can easily switch back to how something came from the factory, and it doesn’t require “flashing” of a ECU/TCU etc.
I wrote all that in case Carly or OBD Eleven (used through a OBD 2 port for clarity) will support Scout. When we purchased my wife’s Mazda last year, I was kind of surprised that no similar interface existed, and I believe for other heavily modified platforms (such as Mustang, Jeep, etc.).
Who on this forum would be interested in OBD Eleven for Scout?
