Must haves for my towing needs (21’ bay boat):

1. a hitch
2. A camera that can see the ball at that hitch (Bronco and Wrangler fail at this)

That’s it, a brake controller will prob be standard via Rivian base software integration.

"See through trailer" camera feature would be nice. Read and display trailer TPMS sensors would be a good safety feature.

Towing for me is a twice a year thing, putting in the family boat (2023 Scout 305LXF).

As long as it has a real hitch, thats not like that cast aluminum CyberTruck crap, then I’m good.

You have to be careful of clickbait. TFLTruck pulled a tractor pull 20k lb sled with the Cybertruck without issues.

Hey, i understand people are angry at Cody for the reason of that it dropped and smacked into the concrete pipes, but i could make my Silverado do that and i would be able to tow my family’s boat perfectly fine.

Most Travel trailers today have solar charging.

The mulligan was power was back-feeding to the tow vehicles trailer brake control module corrupting the control board.

The tow vehicles brake module will default to disconnect.
Terrifying.

Several remedies out there:

A modification where the 7 point cable connects to the Trailers brake controller, Also a replacement tow vehicles brake control module.

These fixes designed to prevent rogue power back feeding corrupting the controls.

Not all tow vehicle suffer this, but many do. Hold that thought.
