Does anyone know if Scouts will have true SiriusXM? The prototypes and website images do not seem to have the usual shark fin antenna on top. Rivian has promised XM (for at least a year now I think) but it's only going to be a data streaming app, not the true XM satellite feed. I do have a Spotify subscription, but I often drive through areas that do not have any cell service.

Probably will have it. But scout is making their own decisions on what the OS will have. Rivian is just a foundation for the UI.
Thats why scout has already said it will have Car Play and Android Auto.

I know people have anecdotally mentioned Scouts will have AA/CP, however, until it is listed on the scout motors website I still do not fully believe it.

I've always tried the trial when I've bought new cars, and never really used it. Android Auto with Spotify is so much better!

Android Auto with YouTube music is a requirement for me, but I've moved away from SiriusXM. My tent blocks the XM receiver on my Bronco, so I've adjusted to living without it. Saving some money in the process.

I do think it's a basic function we should expect in all new vehicles, though.

I agree there are better sounding options out there. BUT, there are several areas that I drive through without any cell service; the NC mountains, coastal NC when out on the beaches, WV going to Snowshoe, etc. While it's not a 'dealbreaker' to not have XM, I feel like it should be available.

Doubtful, since Rivian's head of software (Wassym Bensaid) has been blocking Rivians from getting AA/ACP integration since he believes reinventing the wheel developing Rivian bespoke versions of the 35+ AA/ACP apps is the best use of expensive software engineering resources is the better solution, and he is now co-leading the VW/Rivian JV. Another MAJOR pet peeve of mine, so I bought a 10" AA/ACP device/display for my Rivian R1S.

I saw those on the RivianForums as well. I’m hoping it doesn’t come to that for scouts as well.
