As a person who loves to collect model cars and other merchandising I wanted to see if others do the same!
Wow that’s very interesting! I love that Purple Scout with the Rallye Stripes. I don’t think you can find those today on shelves if I’m not mistaken
At one time during my 38 years at International Truck engineering in Fort Wayne, I was manager of the Product Information Department. One of our responsibilities was providing engeering information to toy and model manufacturers for them to produce models of our trucks. The orange 1:25 scale plastic Scout was given to me by Ertl as a set of pre-production plastic "trees" (no instructions, no chrome) for me to test build. It went together well. The purple Scout was an early production kit that my 10 yr-old daughter built. The yellow 1:43 scale Scout was a diecast Matchbox model. Many of the other models are preproduction samples.
The kits have been re-released several times and are readily available. The SSII is generally more expensive.Wow that’s very interesting! I love that Purple Scout with the Rallye Stripes. I don’t think you can find those today on shelves if I’m not mistaken

First the metal sportop only because it’s the only sportop specific toy.
second is the scout II model my buddy made that look very correct rust wise.
And third the scout 800 pulling a race car.
