Same, I do have a little hope we will see them getting produced in 27’ with a 28’ model year. But most likely its not gonna happen, since tooling a factory can take 8-12 months after the building is made.
Not to mention all the government certifications needed.

That too. I kinda forgot about all the inspections, building codes, certifications, hiring factory works, also waiting for the VW gigafactory in Canada to be built which will most Likely be the battery supply.

How do you like the Fords? I’ve always been interested in both and test drove the Mach E.
Love both Ford Lightning and Mach E.

Both are problem free and not a single issue (except recently for my Mach E needing a TSB).

I'd buy another Ford but they shelved the SUV idea recently.

Looking forward to the Scout !!!

I couldn’t find any info on the R2 when I went to Rivian’s site other than a few photos.
There's limited (specs) info on the Rivian site probably since it's still over a year away from launch. You can find a lot more details in the reveal from Spring 2024 here:

My current Ford has been the best vehicle I’ve ever owned. I’ve owned Honda, BMW, Subaru and others. I’ve always traded them in after 4 years. The Mach E is still on my radar and will be something I’ll check out again as we get closer. The Lightning was of interest but it’s just too big for me. What kind of range are you seeing from the Lightning?

I had a '22 Lightning Lariat SR battery for a year.

Traded her in because it was way too large for my urban lifestyle in metropolitan Los Angeles.

Lightning was the best - not a single issue since day 1 which is unheard of compared to problematic: BMW, Land Rover, Mercedes I have owned....

Range is low - 230 miles but for city driving it's perfect as regen keeps the battery topped off.
We never get cold weather to affect range plus use of cabin heating is non existent.

If Ford came out with a SUV like the Traveler, I'd be all in because Ford's OTA updates and Tesla Supercharger access has been the best reasons why I would stick with Ford.
