Scout UX / UI / infotainment / software deep dive demo from CES!

Greetings. We got to take a look at the Scout UX today and it was a blast. Scout has put together an incredible team. Scout head of UX was kind enough to walk us through their interface. The interior is just phenomenal.

My favorite part is the phone app. Shows how scout made sure to only spend money on the important parts.

The multi camera views on all the different displays w/ split screen looks awesome!

Technology features are often what changes most between concepts and production vehicles, but I hope this is what we'll be getting. In fact, it may get even better in 2 years time as software design and processing speed improve.

Looks great so far. Here's hoping they planned ahead so that when they actually release the vehicles, the h/w won't be outdated and can not only power the s/w at release but have the headroom to take on more/new features.

I'm hoping we can customize the drivers screen to our needs. Personally, I would like to have the ADAS drivers screen (the one that shows traffic around you) at all times, especially while towing.

Otherwise, this looks really good and looking forward to additional demos in about a year when they get more functionality baked in.

I must have misunderstood about the phone app - I thought that was only for the demo because the steering wheel controls weren't connected yet...

Your right its because of the steering wheel. Thats what i was talking about is that on the concepts and they saved money for not making everything little thing functional. Which is smart.

The one thing I noticed (and love) is that it looks like the fabric top works with the roof rack. They aren't compatible on my Defender and its annoying as it limits what I can do. I'm excited to see it in person!

It’s not his first rodeo lol. I looked up his other projects, he seems to have worked for Lynk&CO and Stellantis, Byton(which failed to low funding from Honda and BMW), Bosch, Ford, GM, Dewalt. He has a really good background of UX/UI and App making. I wonder if he came over to Scout Motors along with Head of Design Chris.

He must of. But I feel this time he’s had more freedom to add little touches like he was stating in the video. One thing I also noticed from watching the video again was how everything wasn’t so cluttered up. Very minimalistic approach.
