I have a Rivian R1T and it has an amazing camp mode in which the air suspension levels itself, lights turn off and you can maintain a comfortable temperature overnight without using much battery at all.
The R1T is too small to sleep inside of(did it one night) so this pretty much makes the SUV the only car camping Rivian.
I would possibly switch my Terra order to SUV because of this but I really want 6 seater.

So, I really hope the Scout SUV can sleep someone 6' and I hope the Truck can figure a clever way to fold front seats flat so I can build a platform to camp in.

The SUV will have a front bench seat option, if you’re concerned about seating 6.

Personally, I want hammock hooks for the inside like I have in my Bronco (but factory, so built in higher up). Hard to car camp when I’ve got a ton of stuff stored, but the hammocks just hang above it.

That's a good idea too. A couple Rivian owners attached hammocks to the roof racks outside lol. I've never actually camped in a hammock.

Hammock camping is a game changer. I sleep better in my hammock than I do in most beds.

I need to see this setup. You have a hammock that is hanging INSIDE your Bronco? When you sleep is your face right at the roof?

https://merakihammocks.com/ is where I got it. Check out their IG for a lot more photos than what the website has.

Probably a solid 8-12” of space between my face and the roof. A longer wheelbase would be nice for taller folks - I’m 6’ and it’s just long enough hanging diagonally. With factory roof integration of a couple hooks, I think that Traveler would be a way better (read: longer) platform, without having to hang diagonally.

Fold flat front and rear bench seats would be cool. Definitely plenty of room for camping. Camped in a 2022 Explorer ST. Barely enough room.

I never thought of the temperature thing with an EV. I camp/ sleep in my Grand Cherokee several times a year and use the key fob remote start to warm it up before I go to bed and in the AM. I usually sleep in my tent in the summer due to the heat.

That's one no-go for me, if I can't sleep in the Scout SUV I'll buy another GC.
