Love the idea of a classicly styled EV, but do we know if the top will come off? If not it has little appeal to me. But to each his own. I love the original Scout with removable top.

No one knows yet.
They are still developing the design.
The good thing is they are asking for regular-consumer input on it.
Majority seem to want a removable top (me included).
We can hope.

I'll be honest, I'm just not interested unless it has a convertible/removable top.p

I bet it will be something like the forthcoming Jeep Recon. Assuming the teaser is close to real you can see light coming in through the roof a bit on each side. Just a guess.

Put my vote in for a removable (or opening) top! Another thing Rivian promised but has not delivered.

A folding soft top will probably not be an option.
Agreed.
As much as I love the quick-n-easy ability to drop mine and have it back up if I hit a thunderstorm, a removable hard top is the way to go here I think. And NOT made of laminated cardboard, please Scout.
It's already gonna be heavy-ish, just make it robust. We will all make our makeshift lifting aids or adapt one for a Jeep, or just have buddies as needed. No junk, no leaks and relatively easy to remove is all I am looking for.

Ford was able to figure out a convertible top for the Bronco, so let's hope Scout does the same. Personally, I like a removable hardtop instead of a soft top. I just hope Scout "keeps things simple". That philosophy is what made Scout become a brand!

I agree that they need a removable top if they hope to get most of the Jeep and Bronco customers to consider a Scout. If not, they are competing more with the 4Runner, Defender, and Grand Cherokee buyers. I’m likely not interested if the top isn’t removable.
