Loving the bench seat and openness of the cabin.

But what in the hell are those metal plates on the back of the front seats?? Not a fan.

I think they've been described as accessory racks for attachment (currently looking for that post)...

I'm leaning toward the front bench seat, but really want to know exactly what features I might be giving up with no front console.

Sit in the bucket seats before you decide. Might be more than just noticeably more comfortable, and if cloth, leather or vegan leather is an available option.

Our past GM truck the leather seats were hard like saddle leather. Miserable.
Our friends trucks with the cloths seats were way more comfortable and the cab was quieter.

Understood - but cloth is not an option for me unless I get seat covers and I hate those over time...
Gotta be able to clean it easily...

Our Ford Edge was Leather and the most comfortable seats in any vehicle we ever owned.
Ford really did it right.

We'd a kept it but the transmission logic, the Supercharger boost logic and throttle position logic and engine speed logic all conflicted with each other and we had to merge into 70 MPH traffic at 30 MPH.
