Is EV model's 350 mile range with 35" tires or, if not, what tire size?

About the EV only Scout models - I wonder if the 350 mile range is with the 35" tires or, if not, what tire size. Compared to Rivian, if it’s with 33 or 35” that is quite good.

I thought the specs were based on 33" tires (even though they keep showing them with 35s)...

I dont have an answer for you, but I do habe some insight. I currently drive a Colorado ZR2 with 33" tires and can't imagine needing 35". What I noticed on the Scouts was that the wheel size seems to be on the larger side, I havent heard for sure but looks like maybe 19-20"? 33s with a 17" wheel feels like a sweet spot for most off-the-lot setups that aren't doing anything extreme.

Beyond that I think suspension or making a larger jump to say 40" has more impact on overall capability than just going to 35". That being said, the aftermarket will take a while to catch up too so I'd take any improvements where I can get them.

Another thing to think about would be the life cycle of your tires. It seems like EVs eat through tread faster than ICEs. I read that some Rivian owners are not making it to 10k miles before needing a new set. If the Scouts run into the same problem, would you want to be running through larger and pricier tires more often?

All just food for thought, I'm still very excited for these vehicles regardless!

My guess it will be lower for the 35" all terrains. On my lightning going from the oem light terrain tire to bfg K03 all terrains in the same size dropped range by around 15% from the weight and rolling resistance. I was surprised by how much was lost.

I just replaced my Rivian tires at 26K. The Pirelli Scorpions are super soft and don't even come with a tread warranty. Only other tire I could choose were Michelin Defenders for the 21" rims. We'll see if they last till the Scout arrives.

I have stock 35s on my Bronco Badlands, which Ford basically forced Jeep to start to offer the same as a high end factory option when the new Broncos arrived. I spend a lot of time on the Bronco (and sometimes Jeep forums/pages) and there is a big following to have factory setup 35s on a serious decked out offroader. Thus, Scout is going to have to compete and do the same. I know I would opt for them even if it means reduced range (which I am sure it will). I currently also drive a Mach E which only has 270 range so anything above that Is gravy!

We eventually put 35" tires on our Rubicon. Minor change in ride, larger change in performance. WE replaced our JLUR with a JLURD - no performance change with the 35" tires due to the extra torque. My 2017 F250 was stock 35" tires. Kind of am just used to them as normal now.
