As a kid we had a floating Jack-ass raft with a 2 hp Briggs and Stratton powered pump for gold panning sluice boxes. .

The Briggs committed hari-kari one day and we replaced it with a fractional HP DC motor and 12 volt car battery.
Brutal difference. Colossal.

That woke us kids up to the incredible power Elect has over ICE.
We replaced the IC engine in a go-kart with a Datsun 510 starter motor/car battery. That thing could tear your head from your shoulders on launch and the Datsun part was so tough it could run until you drained the battery. Electric has always been superior to IC, batteries were just the problem, but no longer.

That being said, I've always believed that the current fuel distribution network makes Scout style EVs as the smartest vehicles for the 20 year transition to a fully electric transportation system. If batteries leap ahead (solid, new chemistries, etc.) then we can switch more quickly, but this is clearly the way to go right now

Torque seems to be the key number with EV. HP perhaps just a bonus.

Exactly, though we're seeing it really offers the benefits of a huge diesel IC with those of a high-revving sports IC - which is why we're getting trucks with great hauling and 0-60 times that can zip around like sports cars. Looks like a fish, moves like a fish, steers like a cow...

Saw this posted by Jamie from Scout. It's a teaser image of a winch bumper w/ integrated winch and bull bar. It was first teased at the reveal event on the presentation screen. 🤩

Bring it Scout!!

I would add this feature all day long!

We were cruising the sand dunes at Coos Bay in our RZR.
It slipped in a treacherous spot, ended up unexpectantly in the bottom of a tree line gully with 45 deg sand walls, no way in the world could we drive back out.

A awful feeling.

Ran the winch cable up the slope to a tree, pulled ourselves out, I'll always check the winch option.
Best off roading money I ever spent.

With our EV6, in 3 years we often encounter broken "'chargers" aka dispensers, over-crowded chargers, or no chargers.

We have seen 50 KW often replaced with 350KW and the chargers may be a little more reliable.
But:
We still think the USA is a decade away from an adequate amount, reliable chargers.

The head scratcher is why non-Tesla Chargers are so fussy and complicated compared to the simple plug n play Tesla's.

I will add, the Scouts 800 volt architecture is a big deal, a really BIG deal to us.
Why the GM Blazer doesn't have it is another head scratcher.
