I can't count the amount of times I've used my Rivian R1T air compressor for helping friends and family with flats. I don't do a lot of extreme off roading to use it often, but I love the feature. Hoping it will be available on the Scout Traveler Harvester! Has anyone heard??

Sounds like it will either be standard or optional equipment, regardless of the suspension.

Is there an advantage to having an OEM one rather than buying one at Harbor Freight you just plug into the lighter (besides I'm sure the better quality at significantly higher expense)

Probably not. I would think it would all depends on what the PSI would be on it. Rivians is 150 PSI for $650.

As convenient as it is, I've hesitated to rely on my vehicle's air suspension compressor/tank for other uses. And instead found an appreciation for the redundancy of an auxiliary system. Maybe it's just for peace of mind when I'm counting on AS to negotiate many miles of trails... 🍻

I’ve got a little Milwaukee 18v inflator that’s actually helped top off a fire engine tire to 100psi and helped get a trash truck with a flat enough to get moving along, that thing is incredible! I bought it to air up after trails but have used it for tons of friends and strangers. It was $270 with two batteries at the time and beyond worth it.
