If the Harvester towing amount is in fact 5k lbs at launch I’ll cancel for sure and probably go ramcharger or diesel. My Grand Cherokee can tow 7,200 lbs, if a full size truck can’t compete, it would be a let down. The harvester was touted as the solution for people towing and that’s the exact...
I’ve got a little Milwaukee 18v inflator that’s actually helped top off a fire engine tire to 100psi and helped get a trash truck with a flat enough to get moving along, that thing is incredible! I bought it to air up after trails but have used it for tons of friends and strangers. It was $270...
AKVET - Absolutely, 350 miles on gas alone is honestly a bit of a worry for me. We do long distance road trips/towing trips a few times a year needing to do 500+ mile days for two or three days then slow it down and enjoy the area we’re staying, and towing would probably be 200 miles at best and...
We have it on our Grand Cherokee and it’s amazing for towing, especially attaching and ditching the trailer with ease. It’s also nice to just lift up two inches for off roading which isn’t as often as I’d like but my reality so a great combination. It’s definitely a bit stiff for the trails but...
Also I don’t see why it isn’t possible to use a softopper style soft cab, and rig a way to connect to the back window section so when it’s opened you could still have a conditioned space to camp in, you would just need to be crafty to insure that air is going directly into the cab and not just...
If extending the bed for camping purposes is a goal, I suggest looking into the toppertent, it seems like a simple/ quick solution to the short bed to stretch out. Softopper has their own version too but it looks strange and a bit cumbersome.
I would like to see an effort to have specialty toppers for the Terra ready, be it a softopper and/or Gofast but specific for the Terra’s abilities. Those abilities of note are the rear window being able to retract. If you can have a topper that can utilize that airflow from an open back window...
I really hope they figure that out, so if you want a tonneau cover, it should work no problem, but throw a spare in there full time and you’ll either have to have it flat taking up a ton of real estate or sitting up not allowing a cover to function and creating a blind spot. Maybe it’s not that...
I really hope these handles, if they make it to production, are removable. I think they are great and will be used a lot, but should be removable if you want to slap a shell on top, either hard shell or something like a softopper, if not that will be a big hit to utility.
I’ve been wondering about this for a while now, but is there a good option for the spare tire on the Terra when that spare space under the bed is taken up by the Harvester engine? My thoughts are just in the bed, although that will take up a ton of space. A swing out carrier would work but...
